While this isn't exactly true, the movie does make a lot of connections to a Captain America character/movie.
Captain America's scene got cut. It'll be in the director's cut. However, a ton of cap references were there and you see how someone like Cap would move. The Cap scene that got cut is rumored to leak on the internet this week.
Saw the movie yesterday and loved it. The Hulk was my childhood fave and this movie honored my childhood memories all the way. For the record, I didn't care for Ang Lee's Hulk but that movie should have no bearing on this one anyway. I can't wait to see this one again as well as Hulk sequels and the Avengers.
saw this last night and I was actually surprised that it exceeded my expectations (but they werent too high after the first one) there was some great action sequences in the movie though that I really liked. Its a good summer action flick, not the best comic movie I've seen thats for sure but definitely not the worst. If you are into action films I would recommend seeing it. oh and I think it was stupid for universal to have the cameo of RDJ as Tony Starks in the newer TV spots. I was watching the movie kept thinking to myself when am I going to see RDJ? oh and the casting of Tim Blake Nelson as Mr. Blue I dunno everytime I see that guy I keep thinking Delmar. He did an awesome job in Oh, Brother Where Art Thou i think i've typed casting him into a role like that from now on
Meh. I wasn't overly impressed. I think by the time the summer is done this will rank pretty low compared to the others coming out. Watchable, but nothing special. What happened to Liv Tyler? Did she get some of the gamma stuff in her lips? It looked like she had been punched by The Hulk. Her hotness level has dropped dramatically. And I still don't see how his pants stay on. Loved the cameos by Stan Lee and Lou Ferrigno.
Her dad def does. So its genetic. More like a mutant than gamma radiation. Sucks for her cuz dirty muties are destined to live a life of being hated and feared because we as humans can't understand.
Just saw the movie yesterday. Spoiler I have not seen "Iron Man" yet but at the end of the movie I saw Downey Jr. and I know he plays that role. He said something about a team getting together. Does this have anything to do with the Iron Man flick? Should I have seen that movie before watching the Hulk?
Not necessary (although you should watch IM sometime). They're just trying to tie the movies together a little in anticipation of The Avengers.
I heard from some rumors that Nick Furry the leader of the "S.H.I.E.L.D" (remember from IRONMAN), Thor, Captian American, and Ironman were surpose to team up to form THE AVENGERS to face THE HULK in the first part. Remember at the end of the movie Tony Stark was trying to form a group to find the HULK.
I know I'm a little late to this party, hence having to dig deep into the Hangout to find this thread... but I finally had time to see the movie. Spoiler That Mr.Blue guy towards the end, where he gets a drop of Banner's blood into the cut on his head... does he turn into some villain in the future? If so, what's his name?
Isn't he a character from the Ambiguously Ghey Duo from SNL? I think there are too many villains that has a big brain (head). I wonder who started it all. Wait, so are they planning on making The Incredible Hulk 2 (3?) with the Leader as the villain or is The Avengers gonna come first? Or maybe the Avengers will be fighting The Leader in that movie... interesting..
I disagree I mean ... I liked them both but This movie . . . BECAUSE of the Ang Lee Movie Did not have to work in the back Story . . it simply dropped maybe 2 scenes about it .. and moved on I liked that Ang Lee's when a bit deeper into the true history [Child Abuse, the psychological part of it.] It was more for folx who maybe New to the Hulk All that back story is what kind of bogged down the 1st one Rocket River . . . still think Eric Bana did a great job in it!
I liked the movie better than I thought I would, but I still wouldn't grade it higher than a B. Norton did a very good job improving the film from its original state. The HEAVY nods to the TV show and comics, while almost hokey, were very cool. I liked that Leader and Doc Sampson were slid into the movie - I was thinking Mr Blue was Reed Richards at first, especially when the package was mailed to Manhatten. Thought that Abomination and Hulk were too big and CGI-y, Abomination especially. Marvel's doing a good job with their new Universe approach. I think they could build on that, especially since multi-hero movies greatly lessen the need for major stars behind the masks. For example, instead of trying a third (!!!) time with Punisher, why not go for a Daredevil versus Punisher (versus Kingpin) film? Heck, you could even cameo Spiderman into that one with a stunt guy wearing the costume. With Avengers, I'm guessing it'll be the team forms, fights Hulk, then teams up with Hulk to take on the Big Bad (Doom? Thanos makes no sense...Masters of Evil? Ultron?) Disagree - they rebooted and the opening credit backstory montage was a perfect way of getting the exposition out of the way - besides, who DOESN'T know the Hulk origin? It's like wasting half of a Batman reboot going over his parents getting killed. Also, they changed the origin, if only slightly - making it a military project from the get go. Marvel's openly said that the first one was being considered a one-off.
