Yeah, don't bother waiting through the credits. No secret/hidden scenes or anything.

I never followed Hulk. How closely does the movie follow the origin? And what little nuances are there that only Hulk fans would get? I am not referring to homages to the old TV show or anything. I am talking about the comic.

I haven't seen the movie yet, but I have read online that there are two characters from the Hulk/Marvel Universe that make an appearance: The Leader (villian) and Doc Samson (superhero). They're both reportedly going to be in the Hulk sequel.

I def can vouch for the 1st part of what you said. Thanks for the info I appreciate it.

I have a specific question, huge spoiler (possibly?) so be careful
at the end when he is meditating and unlocks the "Hulk" what did that signify? I remember sometime in the books there was a smart Hulk. Is that it? Or did Banner just learn how to switch it on/off? Whats the significance?

It means that he was training himself to control his power and change at will. The entire story goes from him treating the power as a curse (that he wants cured) to something that he realizes he can aim to use for good.

    Easter eggs

    Connected to Comics:
    Purple pants
Mr. Blue, aka, Samuel Sterns is also known as The Leader, a well known hulk villain.
Logo on super soldier serum says "Vita-Ray." Vita Rays are one of the things they zapped Captain America after injecting the serum that made the serum work.
Rainy cave scene is straight from Hulk: Grey, by Jeph Loeb
Super Soldier Serum is blue, in reference to Captain America
General Ross says something about putting the super soldier program on ice...captain america was frozen in ice during WWII.
    Thunderclap- a popular hulk attack
SHIELD references in intro, mentions Nick Fury, director of SHIELD
SHIELD also in the scene tracking internet movement.
Stan Lee gets poisoned (Best stan lee cameo ever)
    Stanley's Pizza (Stan Lee)
Doc Samson (ally of hulk and psychologist in the comics)
Code to the serum was 1963 (year hulk was first published)
Dr. Reinstein is on the sample (inventor of the super-soldier serum)
Gabriel Jones- name of a Shield agent in comics
Cary St. Lawrence (general ross' second in command) character in comics
Jim Wilson- a friend of hulk in the comics and nephew of another superhero "The Falcon"

    Connected to old TV Show:
    Bill Bixby on Brazil tv
    Ferigno as security guard
Scanning machine in intro is identical to machine used in show
Jack McGee as the student who catches the fight on the cell phone- jack mcGee was the reporter in the tv show chasing the Hulk.
Envelope at the end was to David Banner
    Eyes green before transformation
Banner working odd jobs (a common theme in tv show)
    Lonely Man song in Guatemala

    Connected to Iron Man movie:
Stark Enterprises logo in the intro.
    Stark logo on weapons
Stark logo on Super Soldier serum canister
    Tony Stark cameo

    That's all I can remember.

nyquil, where was Sampson? I expected that, but must have missed it.

The whole Mr.Blue/Mr.Green was directly from a story arc in the comics (one of the few times I've read Hulk comics, unfortunately), so I thought that was well done.

The final battle scene was pretty great.

Overall, a fun movie. Felt very much that the filmmakers actually tried to give this the feel of a Hulk comic/story.

Yea I didn't watch the first film hearing how it was boring...but this one had lots of action and enough plot to keep you interested the whole way! One of the movies you would want to own using your home theater system!
