    Discuss all trades here.

    The following players are available:

OF Peter Bergeron or OF Gabe Kapler
    3B Brandon Larson
and either SS Jimmy Rollins or 2B Damian Rolls

    What am I looking for?

A middle reliever, possible spot starter, decent bench guys who are good defensively. I would like them to be cheap guys. Also, I may have to trim this list down depending on what I get in free agency, but these are some guys that could start for most of the teams out there. If interested, let me know by email at jfyoung@charter.net or responding in the thread.

    Hmmm.

I have a bunch of players I could trade.

Jimmy Pelfry- young catcher. AGA, A range, B catcher arm.

    Jose Pope- young CF. AAG.

Farmer Matthew- young 2B. AGF, A range.

Whoever I pick at #2 in the rookie draft.

I need a defensive stud CF, a #5 starter, and some good young bullpen studs.

Actually, I have even more options than that. If the computer picks York, I might take the SS, 3B, or C. Freeing up Hernandez, Brownfield, Ray Johnson, or McCown. So fire away with offers if youre interested in any of the players I mentioned in the last 2 posts.

29 year old SS Antonio Perez is available. G-F-A, A stealing, A defense, $3 million contract.
6 6 5 3 4 6. All I'd really want is cheap, decent relief.. but I'm pretty flexible. Just don't want to gain salary.

I'm looking to trade the following players-- most for cap reasons, so prospects are good, but if you think you have a fair deal where I don't gain salary, then give me some offers.

Daryle Ward-- 34 years old, 7 mil; One of the game's best pure power hitters... a near lock to get 35-45 per season. Only one year remaining on the contract.

Darin Erstad-- 35 years old, 10 mil; Great defensive centerfielder, brilliant hitter, usually around a .340 to .370 average with 25-30 home runs.

Joe Thurston-- 30 years old, 7 mil; Superb defense (A range) at 2B and SS. Good in hits, brill in not striking out; very solid peripherals.

Luis Rivas-- 30 years old, 3.5 mil; Good defense at 2B and SS. Good in hits, but an 8 in rating, which is identical to many brilliant hitters. Good in not striking out, taking walks, etc.

Chien-Ming Wang-- 29 years old, 5 mil; Needs to develop further, but very solid potential, especially for a team that can give him a full season in the majors to develop.

Brian Giles-- 39 years old, 5 mil; Yeah, he's old, but he's still a very quality player. 6 in hits, homers, and walks. I've kept his ratings up by decreasing his defense, so he'd be great as a DH or as a LF or RF, as ST defense detracts from his fielding at center. He actually has a 6 in hits, 8 in homers, and a 7 in walks starting against righties, so as a right handed starter he'd be great.

Freddy Garcia-- 33 years old, 13 mil; Very solid. 3.6 ERA last year, good-good-avg-good. Dependable, rarely gets hurt. Yeah, 13 mil is a bit pricey, but it's still a better deal than top pitchers in free agency. And, you can dump a somewhat bad deal on me, as long as it's not more than the 13 mil.

I'm looking for a pretty good leadoff CF. I have some SP's I could deal, including Matt Harrington and Wayne Wendell who will both sit in AAA for the year if not traded. Others may also be available...if you have anyone, look at my team and see what you like for them.

Luis Castillo is available. 34 year old 2B/SS (A defense at 2B) with speed to burn (a lock for 50+ steals) and a career OBP around .390. Makes $4.5 mil. He'd make an ideal leadoff hitter for someone.

All I'd need in return is a decent (5 ERA rating or better) middle reliever. And I'm not really looking to dump his contract for cap purposes, so I could include enough cash to cover any difference in salary.

Hello, I am the General Manager of the American League Champion New Orleans Crawdads.

I have several players I am interested in trading :

First, lets look at the enigmatic Enrique Wilson. Capable of playing several positions, with good defense at each, he can explode from the plate at anytime with respectable power, yet, alas can also enter in hellish slumps.

Next we come to the epitome of power-hitting corner infielders, 3B Andy Tracy. Andy is an odd duck, as he is almost powerless against lefties, yet he hits righties with almost effortless aplomb.

Third is another 3B, Tony Torcato. Aside from being possessed of an exquisite name, Tony is a contact hitter who avoids strikeouts and talks walks well. He will not hit for great power, though he will drive the ball for a double or two on a regular basis. He can be expected to have a good OBP for you. His defense really sucks though at 3B.

Fourth, we have Jack Wilson. He sucks offensively, but has good range defensively. I can't afford a 2.5 million dollar defensive replacement shortstop, especially since my current shortstop will never leave the field, for any reason whatsoever. I'll take just about anything for this fellow.

Finally, we have up-and-coming youngster John Gunn. John is a Leftfielder who really gets that bat on the ball. His defense is adequate, but he has a gun(pun intended) for an arm.

Now looking at this fine collection of professional baseball players, you may say to yourself, "I am really interested in these fellows, but what will they cost me?", well, fear not, they aren't expensive.

I am in the market for an upgrade at 2B, or a dominant relief pitcher. E-Mail me, or reply in this thread, or talk to me in chat, please.

    Have a Nice day.

I'm open for trading for a SS or someone that can play there (have to be better than Specht). I'm also after one extra outfield arm - I know I have a lot, but I'm comfortable with having one too many over one missing.

I can go both ways in trading - giving cap relief for someone or helping someone get their final pitcher in the rotation.

    Main big piece available:

    SP Dewon Brazelton

    PITCHING RATINGS :

    Duration as Starter : B
    Duration as Reliever : *
    Holding Runners : A
    Groundball Pct. : 60

    Avoiding Runs : 5
    Avoiding Hits : 6 (VS. RHB : 6, VS. LHB : 6, Talent Good)
    Avoiding Doubles : 5 (VS. RHB : 5, VS. LHB : 5, Talent Average)
    Avoiding Homeruns : 4 (VS. RHB : 4, VS. LHB : 4, Talent Fair)
    Avoiding BB's : 4 (VS. RHB : 4, VS. LHB : 4, Talent Fair)
    Getting Strikeouts : 8 (VS. RHB : 7, VS. LHB : 8, Talent Good)

He is in his final year of his contract so the 6M hit is not that bad - he can probably be resigned cheaper if you want for his next contract.

For those looking for cap-relief I'm sure I can find someone else to make a deal go down.

    DV,

I'm interested in wheat and exley. Who of my relievers do you want for those two? I can throw in as a backup catcher as well depending on who you want. Get back when you can.

    Hey all,

I have some players I'd like to trade. I am primarily interested in packaging multiple players to get a single 'better' player, but would take younger guys back, or something else if its reasonable. A closer better than Wagner would be good. Youth is not important. MR would be a second area of interest if we're talking about Major League players (as opposed to minor league players).

    Batters

    D. Ortiz 34 DH 5 6 2 7 6 5 C
    W. Taveras 28 CF 6 4 6 1 3 8 A
    D. Mcjunkin 28 RF 5 4 4 2 8 4 C
    J. Paul 34 C 4 3 2 4 4 4 C
    H. Isbell 28 1B 4 2 6 2 2 5 E

    Pitchers

    O. Daal 38 SP 6 6 6 6 5 C
    S. Estes 37 SP 6 6 8 5 5 C
    K. Wells 33 SP 5 7 4 4 6 D
    I. Valdes 36 SP 5 6 6 6 5 C
    R. Keisler 31 SP 5 6 5 4 5 D
    T. Ambrose 29 MR 4 5 7 5 5 *

You can post here or email me at Kostun@hotmail.com

    Thanks

Okay..I was trying really hard to go for broke this year by getting Dotel, Konerko, and Ward. So, what has happened? My team f*cking sucks is what has happened.

So, as much as it pains me to do so, I am announcing that ALMOST everybody off my team is available. The only ones that are untouchable are Sixto Goulet, Chuck Ricks, and Adam Johnson. If in doubt, give me an offer and I'll tell you if I would trade that guy.

Here are some of the ones who are definitely on the block:

Daryle Ward - despite playing on a team that is struggling to score runs, he still has 8 home runs. He is getting old at 35 but should still have 2 to 3 more good years left.

Mike Darr - he has been with me longer than anyone else. Dammit, Mike deserves a shot at the playoffs and he won't get it by playing with this loserass owner. He is batting a solid .327 with 7 homers and is a g-g-a-a-g. Despite being 34, he still is a very solid pure hitter.

Peter Bergeron - he has declined a little bit but still has a 6 in getting hits plus he's only 32 and has great speed.

Matt Wheatland - my key free agent signing from 2 seasons ago, he has severely underperformed for me last season and so far this season. He is only 28 and has a g-g-a-a-g. Who knows?? I'm sure he would be an all-star on any other team than the joke of the league that is my Pioneers.

Octavio Dotel - Finally, I'm offering my real big stud in Dotel. I know that some of you are saying, "But Manny he is making 20 million and I can't afford him!" Well, fear not, fellow GMs, good ole Manny has 35 million in cash and *might* be willing if the deal is good enough include 20 million to cover his salary! How about that! Oh, BTW - Dotel's credentials include a 9 in runs and 10s in hits and strikeouts or b-a-a-b...he currently is in the league leaders for ERA and Ks.

These are just a few of the guys that are on the block.

What am I asking for in return? The moon?? Fred Beadles and Adam Dunn?? No, although it would be nice. I am only asking for prospects who have a chance to be good players within in time and this goes for SPs, MRs, and position players. Also, I may also need you to give me some bench guys or lower paid guys to replace my starters because I'm not going to start playing guys who should still be in the minors...I want to do this right.

So, if you are interested, let me know by email at jfyoung@charter.net, in this thread, or in the chat (which I will probably be back in tonight).

This is the OOTP's #1 dumbass gm signing off....good day.
