I've recently changed banks, and also recently picked up a copy of Money 2002. I set up my account and was about to download my account history into Money when I noticed that my bank gives me the option of downloading in OFC or OFX format into Money. What's the difference? Which one should I use?

If you have a choice, choose OFX. Without getting into too many specifics (to be honest, I really don't remember) OFX is the new universal standard for online banking. I believe the newest version of Quicken also supports OFX.

The only problem you could run into was to download information in OFX and then try to open it in an older version of Money (Why would you do this???)

If you really want the details, I'm sure there's info on MS' website...

I finally did find it on the Microsoft website. OFX is the format to download for "Active Statement." It's only compatible with Money 97 and newer.
