How much better is vujacic than Novak??

Man watching the finals and see Vujacic becoming a solid player and definitely one of the best shooters in the nba and a big part of the lakers success made me really think about stevek novak what he could be for us i mean hes helluva shooter but he really needs to work on his handels and obviously his defense.

And from watching this two clips there isn't really a big difference in their game or is their?

novak is much slower than Vujacic. and he is a forward withour any D and rebound, so he should only play when they need him to shoot the ball.
    :D

Vujacic is a good defender , Novak is a complete liabilty.
On offense both of them are one dimensional , Vujacic is a little better but only a little.

Novak should just improve his defense , if his defense won't be a liabilty , he can be lethal playing with T-Mac and Yao.

if you look at those clips Vujacic isn't always set before he makes those 3s, he's often moving. Novak is a great set shooter, but doesn't do as well when he's on the move. I could see Novak being a John Paxon type player, which isn't bad, but nothing more than that

V can handle the ball, is fast, plays decent defense and is a natural fit for his position

Novak can't do any of that.

Vujacic plays good defense in that he is able to foul constantly (hand checks) without getting called for it. Novak needs to learn how to do this. Vujacic ain't particularly fast, Novak just happens to be lead-footed so by comparison he might as well be Speedy Grudenko (I was gonna say Speedy Gonzalez but he's Eastern European).

if novak improves his speed he can improve his offense and defense to the level that vujacic is playing right now.

speed on defense means he can stay in front of his counterpart and make faster rotations.

speed on offense means adelman can run him around screens to get him open.

phil jackson actually calls up vujacic to guard the opponent's best perimeter offensive player many time (manu, now pierce) and he actually does a great job. novak will never be able to do this.

offensively, vujacic can actually take a dribble and shoot and has the confidence to shoot. novak is just mostly a stand-still wide open shooter right now.

not a good look. HOWEVER, vujacic SUCKED his first 3 years till this yr. this is going to be novak's 3rd year. maybe he'll suck again this yr and explode in 2 years?

actually, in college, novak was always a great shooter off the pick and pop. he would go around the pick then someone gives him the ball and he would just shoot it. he was pretty good at that.

like everyone said, novak and vujacic defense aren't even close. plus novak isn't a guard.

I love how that guy plays. He's kinda like a guard version of Scola. Really tough minded. He also makes bonehead plays though.

Vujacic never cracked tha LAL rotation until recently because he couldn't play good D until recently. As we all know, Novak's defense is questionable.

Novak's defense is improving, imho. The more he sees the court I think the better he will get at help defense.

That is if we don't use him as trade bait.

At this point I feel like everyone at the end of the bench is trade bait (which sort of makes me sad because I love them all ;))

I did not think it possible that GARM threads could decrease their average quality. But I have been wrong many times before.

He got a chance to play and get his confidence, let's see what Novak can do, he improved a TON in year 2....maybe he will improve more by year 3.

Novak's major problem is that he plays behind Tmac and Battier.....otherwise he would probably be getting some minutes.......with that shot of his.
