How Great is the Movie Bloodsport?

    In my estimation it is quite great. Not to be underestimated is the opening sequence with the young petulant Frank Dux. It really tees off the all time classic Kumite which constitutes the Bloodsport crescendo. The fighting scenes - well, words don't do them justice.

    Everything is really so excellent - from Van Damme to Bolo Yeung as Chong Li - perfectly cast, perfectly made. Just perfection in 35 mm cinema form.

    While I can not see the initial post, I love the move BloodSport, great fight scenes and based on a true story.

    One I will watch whenever it is on ....good movie.

    I am watching it on VSGLF, which I think is an offshoot of Versus network.

    PS - I heard that after he killed his friend, Frank Dux put Chong Li on his "Ignore List" and bragged about it on the Kumite BBS. Just sayin......

    It's a damn shame that he made Forest Whitaker look like a Keystone Kop. That s.o.b. was the freaking President of Uganda. Party foul.

    Bloodsport is awesome! I own the DVD and make a point to watch it at least once per year.

    Aside from the scene with Jean-Claude's naked ass, this movie rocks hardcore.

    He is a real guy, and founded his own school but did he win the Kumite for real?

    I thought Van Damme's performance was multiple times better than Al Pacino's in Godfather.
