Not to rain on the parade, I think you will need Roben and as well as Van Percy to be in th starting 11 to win it all. In a lock down, mud up kock-off game, you need as many as genius players to play for you.
That was what i said . We need Robben and van persie, because we will not play this good the entire tournament. I also loved how Engelaar played, he is a good player. Russia could not impress me, i hope they will play better, but they were pretty bad against spain. Maybe this will be the year spain doesn't mess it up.
Man that Spain v Russia game was probably the most exciting game to watch thus far. All offense and no defense. Spain reminded me of the old Suns run-n-gun team playing against a defenseless Nuggets. I would've just blown up the team and quit if I was Hiddink after that dismal showing by the Russian squad. Don't wanna get too excited about the win, that was the Rockets playing vs a WNBA.

Portugal vs Czec sounds like it could be a boring game. I know I'm definitely skipping the Turkey vs Switz. Btw is it not allowed to for players to wear long sleeve shirts in the Euro cup or did Portugal just forbid Christiano from wearing his usual long sleeve? He looks weird in a short sleeve and tight shorts.
That's probably the best goal of the tourney so far. Beautiful. Why do you say Port vs Czec sounds boring, those are two of the better teams in the tourney. Czec usually play beautifully but against Switz were terrible, should play better this time around. No Rocisky is hurting them BIG time! Switz actually didn't play bad at all in the first game, deserved to win as they played better and had more opps. Turkey was bad on D, but they have some talent, Kazim Kazim has skills.
Yeah I guess I'm wrong about the Port vs Czec game... Crec just scored the equalizer not even 10 mins after the first goal. The goal by Deco would've been better had Ronaldo been able to go around the keeper and score. I'm still not gonna watch the Turk vs Switz game tho. I'll just catch a replay of it if the game recap looks good.
I attended Germany vs. Poland and I am going to Klagenfurt/Austria again tomorrow to watch Germany vs. Croatia. Will also watch Germany vs. Austria in Vienna next Monday. Great fun.
For my money, that was one of the best goals of the tournament. Boring game overall, heavy rains and just messy all around. However, a gutsy effort by the Turks to overcome the deficit, they caught a break today. Portugal and Spain (the rival nations) seem to be the two best teams in the tournament thus far...am I wrong?
