Who here would do it? Risky proposition considering Mcdyess is injury prone. Personally, I would rather give up MoTay and a #1 but Kiki might want more (although after this trade??)

    For a variety of reasons . . .

There is not a single player in the NBA, I would trade Eddie Griffin for.

If he was healthy, I'd have to consider it.

But since he's not healthy, I'd say no.

For what? Griff may very well tur out to be better than or at least equal to them. He's already being compared to them. Plus he's younger. It's not like we're one piece away from the title.

Oh yeah and Duncan is soft. :p

Let's trade Moochie for McDyess...Nuggets fans are already reeling after the Dallas trade, so we might as well put them out of their misery. :D

No, but as A-Train suggested, I do like Moochie and possible Rice for McDyess. If pressed, we could through in a 2nd round pick.:D

Puedlfor said "for a variety of reasons." One of those probably would be that you'd have to include a lot more than Griffin to make the cap dynamics work out right.

I'd trade Griff for Duncan straight up. But would I package him with enough other players? No.

Actually you are if you are overvaluing Mobley, and undervaluing Tim Duncan.

Griffin will not be better than Duncan. Griffin will be a nice PF to have, but he won't be a premier PF quite like Duncan.

Griffin doesn't seem to have the mentality to dominate a game like Duncan has. He lacks a killer instinct right now. How good Eddie can be, depends on his demeanor.

    Kidrock-

Are you a psychic? Are you Mrs. Cleo? You don't know how good Griffin will get, so stop comparing him to Duncan. Why Griffin seems to not have the killer instinct yet is because this is his first year in the league (he did not finish 4 years of college like Duncan), and hes 19 years of age. When he can buy alcohol is when we will see what he lacks and doesn't lack. Till then I would never trade Griffin/Mobley and our #1.
