Word. That is if you count the original version without the patch. If you count the patched one, Live 06 is the worst I remember. Admittedly, I haven't played 08. Live 2005 was very solid game however. So it's been almost 4 years now since the last solid NBA Live game. EA is like David Stern. They're trying to appeal to more and more people and draw in more and more younger fans at the expense of their long time fans. That's why they're all about flashy dunks and crossovers and scoring 100+ points in a game while Stern does the same by screwing up the rules.

Ea is not buying take 2, they rejected like 3 of their offers for a crap load of money! Thank god! Long live nba 2k!
i think EA should buy 2k as long as they dont touch the gameplay aspects. However , they can improve presentation and menus.
Man I used to buy these games.... Had Live 03, 04 and 05 ....didn't even play 05 that much and just kind stopped
The only reason to play Live nowadays is the incredible mod community. You can download just about any team/player/jersey imaginable, and if that fails, you can just make it yourself. If 2K went to the PC, it would be over.
Actually the only reason to play NBA live is if you only want to play on the PC. unless you're a EA fanboy of course. I really really really hope NBA 2k9 goes on PC! Look at this petition to bring 2k9 to pc: petition link
yeah i remember i had nba live 04 on pc and i had it modded. they have horrible online servers though.
