"Hey, sorry to hear your husband died! But at least you get that big fat insurance check, huh? You gotta look at the positive!"
First you said you were very excited when you heard of the news. So you clearly implied that you thought we would be a better team without Yao. Otherwise, why would you be excited anyway? Would a real Rockets fan be excited if the team lost a key player and became a worse team? And then you backpedaled and said, without Yao, we would be better in just one area. And then you went on to say we could have advanced to the 2nd round with Yao. So there you clearly said we would be a better team with Yao. So when were you telling the truth of your thought and when were you lieing? From your past posts it is clear that you are a hater. Keep trying to twist the facts around to make yourself look good won't work. We all have brain to tell what you really are.
The analogy is perfect if you're husband comes back from the dead next year and helps you spend that fat insurance check. ...atleast i think that's what mlwoo is trying to get at. Not saying i agree with him though...
RocketsDream is that you? I clearly implied nothing. I said he holds back the tempo. How does that contradict anything I said? I'm excited because everyone else got a chance, artard. I really, really hate the word "hater". Because of the fact I'm hatin' on hater really makes me hate my hatin' hater self.
Rocketdream? That name sounds familiar. But no, unlike idiots like you, I don't have to use alias to say something. DaRock1 will keep saying what in his mind and keep trying to exposing fools like you under his own name. Now, how did you contradict yourself? Oh, I didn't know you can't read. Here is my posts again: You should get the crown of the "Dumbest fool in the history of mankind" if you still can't figure out how you have contradicted yourself in what you said. Let me know if you need more help. I enjoy working with r****ded people.
I was doing a network install of a copier at a customers site. During the install I was showing one of the users how to access the web image monitor of the copier. As she loaded up IE, her home page was yahoo.com or something similar, a news site. This is usually the time I get my news, so I look at the screen as she puts in the IP of the copier and I see a picture of Yao. "Hmm, what's this?" "Yao out for the season with a broken foot." I nearly threw up on her back.
Omg. I was so pissed. I still am. It completely ruined not just my day, but my entire week. And I guess it ruined our entire season
I think actually the best team basketball happned to Rockets in during start of that winning streak when T-Mac was down. Without T-Mac, they have to learn how to pass, and the ball moves from one to the other really quick, kind of like the kings several years ago. When T-Mac came back, it gradually slowed down, and T-Mac started to hold the ball more and more. Not to blame T-Mac on this. It could be T-Mac's problem, it could be the role players' problem, as they would just automatically defer to T-Mac for creating shots for them. When Yao was in and T-Mac was out, although they can defer to Yao for the shot, they knew that they have to move the ball well in order to get the ball to Yao. T-Mac is a great passer, but you can't rely on your main scorer to be your main passer at the same time. Maybe there could be exceptions, but it is not the case for most teams, and definitly not the case for Rockets.
I was in Cambodia having a good time with my family. Then I come back to the place we were staying at(family friends) and turn on the Euro SportsCenter and BOOM first story on the news "YAO OUT FOR THE SEASON" That just totally killed my day.
I was searching some info on Internet and went to CF. It said that Yao is out? I realized that theres nothing from championship, I remember my best friend called me who is a fan of Lakers and annoyed me.
Thanks for exposing fools and haters to everyone. You are doing a great service. The problem is I never implied anything. I said we were more uptempo but never said anything about us being better without Yao. I said we weren't going to win anyways, so why not have fun running instead of watching the 8 foot turnover machine? Like my 3rd grade math teacher said, "when you assume you make an ass out of u and me." Can you believe a teacher said that in third grade in a catholic school?
I was having lunch with clients. One of my boys texted me on my phone and then I just lost it. Everyone asked what happened. My co-worker thought something bad happened, as though someone died or something. I looked up and said almost. Yao is out for the year. She had no idea who Yao was or basketball that. My clients said tough break. I spend the rest of the day reading everything and calling up everyone. We knew our playoff chances just got killed. My friends from Houston called me and told me some peeps on the radio were calling and crying on air. It's sad to say and there's really no justification for it because there's really no comparison, but it felt like finding out a relative had some illness or something. But when you invest so much time into it, that's just how sports becomes. I think the other thing is that this City adopted Yao in a way. And we've watched him grow from day one and see how far he's gotten with basketball, the language, and the culture. He feels like everyone's little brother or big brother in town, a kid you root for and believe in and want to do well because he's such a nice guy and works so hard. But man, those next few weeks are something that was undescribable, it's right up there behind the championships. During that streak we were the best team on the planet and that was an awesome feeling. Had Yao played against the Jazz before win #1 against the Golden State Warriors, that streak could have been 26 or 27 if I remembered correctly. I think we had won 5 straight, loss to the Jazz, then won 22. Can't wait till next season.
Now I start wondering why I am still wasting my time on a coward who doesn't even have the courage to face what himself has said. You said you were actually really excited. Ahhh, I see. So either: (1) You were excited because you thought we would be a better team without Yao. or (2)You were excited because you are a hater and fake fan who doesn't care about the team. You were excited at the team losing a key player and you were excited that the team became worse without Yao. So which one is correct, Woo?
haha, I got like 83 texts from people, each reiterating my pain. I didn't go to class that day : / stayed in bed, watched PTI as they totally denounced our season and prayed it was an early clutchfans.com april fools joke.
I will never forget February 26th... The day after my birthday, the day the Rockets lost Yao for the rest of the magical season, the day my hopes slumped (At least a little). My emotions that day were beyond any adjectives known to man. I was simply crushed.
What about being excited for the other guys to get to work as a team instead of playing post offense?
