For those of you with the Tempurpedics, is there a particular model you have? There are quite a variety at a good mix of price ranges. I'm trying to figure out if the low-end ones work well, or if there is a good amount of differential between them.

Meh. I had a sleep number bed. Didn't like it after a few years. Basically, they're nothing but an adjustable air mattress with some foam on top. Once the foam goes flat, mine wasn't comfortable. But then again, I gave it to my sister and she and her husband love it. They are super expensive though. I'd look at one used before I plunk down 2 grand on one.

Being a poor grad student, I replaced my sleep number mattress with a memory foam mattress from Ikea. I LOVE IT. 250 bucks for a queen, and I didn't need a truck to take it home. Sleeps great, very supportive. I'd look at a cheap Ikea mattress before I invested in a Tempurpedic, but that's just me.
