Lebron sells more shoes, Tshirts, and Sprite than TMac. I don't remember the last time I saw a Tmac commercial on TV. I see Lebron drinking Sprite and its Sublymonal
why do you guys get in these arguments if you think Tmac is better? Evidently he's better in those minutes than Manu is in his minutes.
me, being an elderly well of white woman, was distrout over which suv i should get but then i saw tiger woods driving a buick suv in the tv ad so i rushed over and got me one. btw do u think tiger every would even drive a buick? it must be a bentley with the badges swapped so he'll actually touch it
lebron is the most marketable basketball player in the game today. and he's more of a businessman than tmac. lebron wants to be the first billionaire athlete (have to ask tiger about that). tmac isn't a "marketer's" dream any longer b/c he doesn't dunk as much anymore, and he still hasn't won. i wouldn't market him either. i'm shocked to still see wade's commercials on b/c dude fell off hard.
yao's not bad either at $31 mil. too bad he doesn't get to keep it all . i've noticed yao has become a better dresser lately, finally starting to use his money i see lol.

wow tiger woods is my new role model. the guy breaks 100+ million a year.... and he's on the verge of breaking 1 billion before the age of 32 through endorsements alone. yeah im sure bill gates was very rich at a very respectable age but gotta take into consideration that his company was a monopoly and tiger woods is just a very very VERY intelligent business man who knows how to make money without selling your soul ( maybe just everything else ) jk jk
the girls like Dwade. I had some people over at my place and this one chick saw my hoops magazine with Dwade on it and told her girlfriends that he's the man of her dreams.
He makes Golf relevant to a lot of people, and really led to more black people playing Golf. The golf craze has died down, but people still love to tune in to watch him make history. The only thing an athlete individually influenced me to buy are jerseys and my Olajuwon sneakers when I was younger. If anything, athletes turn me off of most things because I may dislike that particular athlete. Other people are though. People buy name brands because of perceived value, and many people do the same thing when they see athletes using the product.
Its true that Manu is most effective when he plays around 30 minutes per game. And you're critical of this. However, when Tmac plays around 40 minutes per game, he's ineffective (due to lack of conditioning, being tired, depth perception, whatever...) for a portion of this. And lets not forget that he has a lethargic style of play (how frequently does he push the ball after a rebound?) and is generally lacking on defense. And you'll defend Tmac to no end. In other words, Tmac should be more effective when he plays less minutes. Which is very similar to Manu. Yet you defend Tmac and criticize Manu. So to answer your question, yes. You have double standards.
Yes Lebron didnt shoot well. I never said he did. Yes, shot free throws poorly (though not nearly as bad as Tmac). Whats your point? I've been critical of these issues in the past. Thats why Kobe is on a different level. In game 7 vs the celtics, lebron had 45. Didnt Lebron put up 10 pts (or something close) in the 4th quarter? Thats not an example of "routinely" disappearing. Like I've said before, theres a big disparity between Kobe/Lebron and Tmac. Even if you want to say that Tmac is #3, he's a distant third. But dont let a hypothetical #3 ranking deceive you. There are at least 5 players who are very comparable who could be interchangeable with him.
