How would you rank the three major people running this primary, and bush and kerry from last year.

Ill give 5 points to 1st place, 4 points to 2nd place, 1 point to last place and so on.

    For me:

    1. Obama
    2. McCain
    3. Ms. Clinton
    4 John Kerry
    5. Mr. Bush

Im much happier with the choices from this year. Dont care for Bush or Kerry very much at all.

I don't like any of them. I like the Bush that I was promised in 2000 better than any of them.

Wild that your first and last choices have identical positions on every single issue. I understand that your vote is now based on matters of personal trust though. I hope Obama will be able to change your mind about him before November.

Bush- 0, bad economics, bad foreign policy, horrible domestic policy, bad ethics

Kerry, McCain, Obama, Clinton- have promised more of the same (except they all claim the highest ethics)... therefore they rank 0 until proven otherwise.

The best part of politics are the campaign promises- they are just like professional sports PR right before the season starts.

Ridiculous premise and totally wrong. McCain is The Maverick, always has been, always will be. He has been a thorn in the Republicans side for years. Anything but "McSame", as you put it. Shameless distortion on your part, Bats.

And any changes made to Obama's perception will only be for the worse.

    Poor George.

McCain has bucked Bush and/or the GOP on tax cuts for the rich, torture, pandering to religious extremists and immigration. He has since changed to the Bush and/or GOP position on tax cuts for the rich, torture, pandering to religious extremists and immigration. In other words, in every way he was once a "maverick" he has since flipped to the orthodox GOP position.

    Poor George.

He can't name a single example of McCain bucking party orthodoxy in which he hasn't since "flip flopped."

Batman, I understand your frustration. I really do. The Republican voting populace has once again out-witted and out-maneuvered the Democrat voting populace by nominating a centrist candidate, while the Dems have nominated an extremely liberal candidate (with no experience or qualifications to be President).

You are repeating the same thing over and over because you know it to be false. You know that no one will buy "McSame" or "Bush III" unless you hammer it in with repetition. No one here is dumb enough to buy that. It's a shame that this disingenuous measure is what you are left with. You have sold out to the party and suspended your own ethics and criteria in selecting a candidate. You sold out your political standards by standing behind Obama. Just admit it, you let your lust for his empty speeches take the place of logic in your candidate selection process.

You are in rare form today, Mr. Jorge. It's predictable, but it's funnier than normal.

Bats, you are a shell of your former self. What happened to that spirited, grassroots activist that took leadership roles in progressive, forward-thinking movements? Where did that level of intellectual involvement get suspended in the place of a corporate media-driven marketing campaign movement? It's so blatently obvious that Obama does not have the history of fighting for democratic causes like Hillary does. He doesn't have the notches in his belt from sponsoring bi-partisan bills, or fighting for causes that he believes in. You have suspended your once difficult burden of proof for a candidate to prove to you that he deserves your vote, and replaced it with a pair of knee pads and a mat to worship the empty, qualification-less, corporate media-driven god. You sold out to the Democratic party leadership instead of staying true to your own intellectual and activist roots. You are now backing a politician with no experience over a candidate with tremendous experience (McCain) and the title of Maverick. McCain is an honorable man, with a long history of bi-partisan efforts on immigration, climate change, taxes, on down the line. He has not cow-towed to the Bush agenda, despite your false claims. I reject the fundamental premise of your question on those grounds.

You have sold out. Just man up and admit it.

Wow, George is really hurting today.

This is fun. I just keep posting this:

    Poor George.

He can't name a single example of McCain bucking party orthodoxy in which he hasn't since "flip flopped."

And, as he can't answer it, he just flips out and calls me a liar. And then tells me to defend myself. LOL.

I also love it when he displays his poor spelling skills since he and his twin brother love to mock others for theirs.

You just hang on to that memory.

I was trying to make a point. There is no way to tell who I would like best. We have to vote based on limited information, mainly promises and record. The information available shows that Kerry isn't a leader, Clinton is a panderer, Obama tries to avoid controversial decisions, and McCain is angry and all over the map ideologically. Based purely on their promises, I would order them this way:

    Bush
    Kerry
    McCain
    Clinton
    Obama

Based on their pre-campaign record, I would order them this way:

    Bush
    Clinton
    Obama
    Kerry
    McCain

I've been horribly disappointed in Bush as President and voted 3rd party in 2004, but if a different candidate with a similar record and similar promises ran again, I'd vote for him again.
