But consider all of this...all teams have their flaws...and when these rockets go down, we hear it from every walk of life...

I guess it's about becoming the underdog...and coming back to proving everyone wrong..

Naw, thats not it...people despised him before it was obvious that he had peaked. He has a huge bad contract but the ratio of his talent to his contract isn't really that bad. Its not complete rape like Ginobli's contract but its not terrible. You don't hear all the cheap shots when people talk about Jason Kidd, Shaq and AI. When he fails people assume he's not trying and it makes them angry.

You know, your continual habit of trying to redirect any criticism, even imagined, of T-Mac by trashing his teammates says legions about your maturity.

Seriously, it's all about the $. If T-Mac were making Manu money Houstonites would love him, he'd be pegged as an overachiever and his trade value would be through the roof.

but seriously...that's up to the players isn't it??

maybe it's a sign...does manu want to be traded?

Manu is going to grow old, retire and die in San Antonio. I'm just using him as an example because in terms of bang for the buck he's near the top of the list of NBA players.

Manu is, in addition to being a superlative player, also one of the best deals in the league right now in terms of his salary. SA would have to be crazy to let him go I think. They can contend next year with some tweaks to the roster.

neither yao or t_Mac can carry the team alone, we need both of them;or we need three, adding another one(who? miller? ^-^)..there is odom, gasol besides kobby, there is pierce, allen besides garnette..so stop discussing yao or T_MAC,both of them ok,the question is the champion need three star-level players..

Now that the Phoenix Suns are into making bad trades maybe they'd take Yao + 1st Round pick for Amare Studemire.

Why would you want to trad Yao for Amare 'no defense' Stoudemire who is also a weaker rebounder? And you want to give them our first round pick too? What are you smoking?

I agree throwing in the 1st round pick is ridiculous. But Yao straightly for Amare sounds pretty fair to me. But I don't think either team would do that. The Rockets for obvious reason. As for the Suns, why would they want another dominant big man in the paint when they have Shaq already? Amare can compliment Shaq much better than Yao. Imagine both Shaq and Yao crowd in the paint ?

i have a favor to ask any members out there!

For the mysterious reason that I got demoted after making this thread...

    can someone make another poll?

"Even with a healthy roster, how would the Rockets fare against the Celtics?"

the question is in their "prime." in his prime, tmac could have taken any team to the playoffs. he has shown that.

yao hasn't shown he can do it. and he's past his offensive prime already, which was in 05-06. his fg% and points have decreased every season. but yao showed this past year he has become a much better overall player.

Yao gives Garnett a lot of fits.

With no TMAC we were very close to beating them, but a wave or ridiculous calls and garnett incapable of missing a jumper lost it for us.

We never played them with both Yao and McGrady but if we did i guarantee you we could beat them
