I was watching the beginning of tonights game and it suddenly came to me.
I realized one of the main reasons I don't want the pistons to get to the finals(despite my dislike for everything from the land of Chowdah and Nohmah) is this guy
    <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/YrtHjp3Yrpg&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/YrtHjp3Yrpg&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

Mason their announcer. I forgot how annoying he is as I haven't really watched an entire pistons game since their last Finals appearance.

What ever happened to awesomeness like this? The best intro EVER!

Fine by me. I think Boston matched up better with LA anyway, and they have as much or more athleticism.

    I hate the Lakers.

That pretty much says it all. At first, I rooted for the Lakers so the Spurs would die and the NBA could get it's LA-BOS dreamseries, but now I feel dirty and could use a Laker beatdown at the hands of one of these Eastern teams to cleanse my fandom. And Boston is the most qualified, so...what Hoop-T said.

P.S.: Los Angeles Vs. Boston means higher ratings for the NBA this year, and that means more people see the Rockets title run next year.

    Detroit BBbbbbbbasketball? WTF
Antonio Miggidy miggidy mcdyess? He obviously enjoys listening to his old Kriss kross tape a little too much.

Just keep it simple thats all,
but hey, to each his own.

Good thing they don't have players like Luke Schenscher or Andreas Glyniadakis or he'll be stuttering all night and the game will never start.

another good reason to be happy that the pistons didn't advance is the fact that they are only 1 championship ahead of the rockets on the all time list.

i never route for any team ahead of the rockets on that list.

You are so right. That is one of the reasons I HATE the Spurs more than I hate the Mavs.

What gets me is the arrogance of the Pistons. Why is it that every year since they won the championship and made it to the Finals the next year, it is assumed that they are "nonchalant" and played down to their competition? Against the Heat, the Cavaliers, and now the Celtics, every year we hear the same general thing from the players- they didn't beat us, we beat ourselves. How about this- maybe, just maybe, those teams were better. Maybe, the Pistons' championship and subsequent trip to the Finals was a little overrated.

Sure, they have a solid starting 5, but they were the exception to the rule that you need a superstar or 2 to win a championship. Their formula was good for a 1-year deal, but that was it. Yet, every year, it's "the Pistons were the best team in the East." I call BS- I think that they were the best when they had Ben Wallace in addition to the other 4, but there's a reason why they haven't been back to the Finals since they lost him. They are not the best team and haven't been- they've played as good as they're going to play, and it's just not good enough. They need a star.

I think Mason is awesome...He has his own style and is original...More than i can say for other PA announcers around the league...

How can you not like Antonio "Mcgitty Mac Mcgitty Mcgitty Mcgitty" Mcdyess??? LoL. Most awesome intro ever I think..

It's all good. To each his own, as they say.
I just like things to be kept simple.
