Maybe I should explain my point better: I´m not saying that we should bench Eddie, I agree that he´s going to be our next star, and he should play over Mo, Kenny, Cato and whoever is in the team right now. It´s just insurance.

I´m just saying that we should see how Mo comes from his injury before make any move, and you have to agree we´ll only know if he´s fine next season.
If we land a C in the draft that can make Cato´s job (and I´m refering the last 10 games) that´s just fine, but I repeat, we´ll know this after the draft.

If Taylor comes back playing the way he´s supossed to play, I think the time to make the trade is next season, when we really have the log jam at PF, and not now. At least not for Spree, I agree he´s a great player, but he´s not what the Rockets need right now.

So we wait till next season like you say...... KT's value will drop tremendously.... because he will play behind MoT, we have to take the risk that MoT will come back to form. We also have to take the risk of landing a productive C in the draft. We should have a high draft pick this year. Its not like teams go into the draft with all their positions filled perfectly... thats why they draft to upgrade their position that they are lacking. Cato isn't worth getting paid soo much for soo little production. If there is anyway we can get rid of him, you have to do it.

I would rather take my chances with

This years pick (Center)/Taylor + Spree

    rather then

    Cato/KT

    1) because we aren't winning with the lineup we have currently.
    2) because Cato is not worth the money.
    3) spree will get us more publicity.
    4) cato/kt are more of backup players nothing more.

You say the rockets don't need spree right now..... who is available that the rockets could use right now? Which wouldn't involve our 1st round pick.

You almost convinced me (I´m being serious), there`s only a couple of questions:

1.) I would rather have Kenny than Mo, and before everybody starts calling me crazy, with Spree + Francis + Mobley + Taylor +Griffin, who´s going to take the rebounds, besides Griffin and in a lesser extent Francis? who´s going to play defense against C/PF in the West? and do you see Griffin as our C of the future? I personally think that Thomas is more valuable than Taylor, because he can rebound, provides more defense than Mo and is not that far offensively. Of course, Mo is injured so the chances to trade him are zero right now, but what about during the summer?

2.) With the starting five mentioned, we´ll only have the draft pick (which I also agree should be a good one) in bench to rest our C/PF. You take your chances on Terrence to be the other guy to rest our frontcourt? (I don´t really think that Collier could be that player)

3.) You let Rice on the bench, or start Spree over Mobley and move Oscar as a backup for Rice? Maybe trade Mobley for another big guy?
