Fair enough. I did try to make it so that every "team" had just one spot though, so keep that in mind...Showtime has one slot. Bird has one slot. Bad Boys have one slot.
lol read your nba history. the most emotional trip to the championship was Bill Walton's Blazer's team, circa 1977-1978, that came from 0-2 to beat the overwhelming favorite Dr. J's 76ers. some 30+ years later, that ring still represents the only professional championship enjoyed by the state of Oregon. There was so much drama / emotion surrounding the Blazer's trip to the ring that it was captured by a best-seller book written by David Halberstam. it ranged from ==>the FBI surveillance of Walton's home to ==> Darryl Dawkins (chocolate thunder) and Mo Lucas squaring off in mid-court
This thread is kind of silly. I'm not going to say all 6 Bulls team belong in the top 10, but for anyone not to put their 92 & 96 there is just crazy, ignorant or bias. Those of you who didn't see how the 1996 squad would brutally destroy teams at will missed awesomeness. It was more than MJ outscoring the opposition. They made teams' offense look foolish and could destroy the opponents rhythm whenever they felt like it. In all my years of watching the NBA, I've never seen that kind of perimeter defense ever. Not only that, they would also collapse and suffocate the opponents post game.
yeah, they could turn up the defense whenever they wanted. a perfectly built bball team except maybe center. they were so long on the perimeter, harper pippen jordan, then you had rodman on the post defense. it was pretty devastating. then 92 was just jordan at peak form, hungry to repeat. they decimated a pretty damn good portland team that was in its second Finals appearance.
obviously, you've never seen the ShowTime Lakers nor Bird-led Celtics, both of whom would (most probably) sweep any of MJ's team. while both the Lakers and Celts would have no answers for MJ and Pippen, the Bulls would have no answers for Magic/Kareem/Worthy nor Bird/MaHale/Parrish. its' 3 against 2
u r being intellectually dishones, , u intentionally omitted to mention that it was a Laker team without Kareem
i understand, but kareem was an old man on those teams, they were more about magic and worthy. lets just take the 87 lakers, kareem averaged 17 and 6. believe me, i watched those teams as a kid, kareem really was an old man. its unbelievable what he could still achieve, but he was by no means a "great" player at that point.
even as an old man, no one can stop that sky hook. he would eat either Perdue or Longley for Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
you are so far beyond over the top it is ridiculous. so was the rockets 86 team far and beyond better than the bulls in 96 since they beatdown the showtime lakers and took the celtics to 6?
no i'm not. you are acting as if the showtime lakers and celtics were invincible. they were dismantled by the 86 rockets. that is not invincible as you like to portray them.
