Just kidding, but as a non-soccer fan I have no idea what you just said.

Leverkusen is not the best German team...but they should normally easily blow out a sucky team like Arsenal...Arsenal was very lucky...Leverkusen hit the post a couple of times...that wannabe-pimp Seaman would not have had a chance...well, anyway...Arsenal sucks...did I mention that already?

I knew you were lurking out there somewhere, Det! Leverkusen is 2nd in the German league now, no? And they are considered by many (at least according to the media) as the best in the German league. And you couldn't even beat Arsenal's second team at home. Bundesliga blows!

Yeah, it's embarrassing not to beat the Brits every single time we meet them...that would be what one could and should expect :D.

Yeah, like at the Olympiastadion in Munchen in the fall....er, no England won that 5-1.

Uh, yeah, like when Bayern Munich beat Liverpool in the Supercup....er, no, Liverpool won that time too :D ....

And I'm afraid you've got another thrashing coming when Man U starts up with Bayern Munich soon.

They will be very Ruud to you! ;)

Hey, and by the way, Leverkusen has the BEST record at HOME in the Bundesliga, right?

Current Champions League Champion: Bayern Munich

Oh, and European Championships...Germany won 1972, 1980, 1996...hmm...what about England...oh, where was that tournament again 1996...ah yes...England... And who kicked England out...as in most big tournaments the past 30 years...ah yes, the "huns" :D.

    Football's coming home...

(that video was funny though..."Kuntz" :D)

Gary Lineker: "Football is a game that is played by 22 people and in the end, the Germans win."

I have nothing to add to that statement :).

Gary Lineker was always gracious in defeat, though. I like the guy. I think Owen will be similar. I think he will be a gentleman every single time his butt will be kicked by the Germans at the World Cup.

Everybody in Germany likes playing the Brits...I don't know if I am expressing this right, but they are straight...when England plays Germany, there are normally no little hidden fouls or all this crap that sometimes goes on when you play South American or Italian teams...it's just back and forth all the time and the better one wins...

(too bad that that is always Germany when it really counts;))

I like Alan Shearer. On World Cup 98, I would always be England. Shearer dominates that game, as well as Seaman.

We should actually feel sorry for the English because their greatest victories in their football history were Liverpool´s Supercup win and England´s 5-1 trashing at Munich.

    Then again, who got seeded?

The English-German rivalry is pretty cool. Too bad that the English tabloids always make a war out of it.

The 3 Lions will win the World Cup.

They will be battle tested after having gone 3-0-0 in the "Group of Death".

I predict a 5-0 score over the Argentines, to make up for the 98 blunder.

Beckham will score 5 goals off the corner kick. That's right, directly from the corner, ala Baggio.

Shearer is also an extremely class act. When *suprise* Ray Parlour from Arsenal was getting sent off against Newcastle this year, Shearer (who plays for Newcastle) was the first to argue that it was the wrong call, even pulling the ref's arm down as he put up the red card.

Its kind of a shame he's retired from England's national team, since he's still a scoring machine.

Well, I'm on the outside looking in, but from what I can tell its pretty cool. And the tabloids are great! Like when the Sun sent their Sun girls dressed in lederhosen with an oompa band to wake up the german team at their hotel!

And their 'greatest' win was probably beating Germany in the '66 World Cup Finals.

So I guess Shearer, as a true sportsman, would have told the ref teh truth about the Wembley goal ;)

I hate Leverkusen for another entirely different reason.

They own our best player. Landon Donovan. and Im afraid they are gonna call him back after this season. I hope to god they let the only american talent play in america for the rest of his 4 year loan. just 2 more years is all i ask. its futile tho. BAhh

Do you mean the disallowed Kuntz goal? Not sure what you're referencing.

Brazil was the best team that year. The only reason they didn't win is b ecause of shoddy referreeing that allowed teams to play brawl ball against the Brazilians. Brazil would've smoked England.

1966. World Cup Final. 3-2 by Geoff Hurst. Referee first ruled no goal, then the linesman called him and then he decided it was a goal. Russian referee. It was no goal, the TV pictures clearly showed that the ball hit the line and then went straight up and was kicked away by a German defender.

Anyway, it's good that England won back then...at least SOMETHING they can build some pride on ;).

Oh, the bitter bitter Hun. Geoff Hurst's hat trick still burns after all this time :D ....

I just wanted to make sure Alan Shearer's integrity wasn't being questioned. From what I've seen he is a class act.
