TMac made kobe and the lakers his b**** in the first 3 quarters.

Kobe did nothing, absolutely nothing in the first 3 quarters. Then he turned on the "switch" and started to play the "aggressive" defense which is only allowed in Staples Center.

Lakers was just a better team. They can afford to have kobe rest up for 3 quarters. TMac play one mediocre quarter and the magic is done. That's just the fact you crazy kobe groupie never put into consideration.

Ok, all you loyal Tmac fans who worship Tmac 24/7. Just leave. We don't need that here. Any smart Rockets fan can honestly say that Kobe in better. In terms of talent, determination, motivation, and experience.

Now, I'm not saying that Tmac sucks, but compared to Kobe he is outmatched.

Playoffs: Kobe reached finals (3 or 4 times I believe); Tmac never got out of first round. ADVANTAGE: Kobe

Reg. Season: Tmac leads Yao-less team to 55-27 record; Kobe and Gasol lead Lakers to best Western Conf. record. ADVANTAGE: Tmac (His team is Yaoless)

Surrouding (Starting)Talent: Yao(although injured)Mutombo, Battier, Rafer, Scola; Farmar, Odom, Fisher, Gasol. ADVANTAGE: Kobe

Bench Talent/Depth: AB, Landry, Hayes, Bobby Jackson, Novak; (I forgot Lakers bench.) ADVANTAGE: Tmac

Overall Success: Kobe- 3? Championships, Finals MVP 2008; Tmac- Scoring champ 2002-2003. ADVANTAGE: Kobe

As a team the Rockets are better, but individually Kobe does indeed own Tmac.

the poll says it all. not even close it's kobe over tmac

kobe has the better drive and heart and his shot technique isnt as unorthodox as tmacs. bc of tmacs flat shot, if he doesnt get any lift under him its not going in(as could be seen in the playoff 4th quarters)

Its called getting tired. Tmac isn't 20 anymore. He's what 27? 28? 29? He's way past his prime and he's dealing with injuries.

We all know that Kobe is a better player now no one said Tracy was better as of right now. The question is whos better if you put both in their prime and I said it before and I'll say it again its Tracy hands down in my opionin.

Tracy at his prime can't get 35ppg, 4 50 pts game in a row, 9 40pts game in a row, 81 pts in a game or anything close to that. He can't get past 1st round with a legitimate big man either.

I don't understand why people here are obsessed with 22 straight regular season wins or 55 wins with an injured Yao. Even if you can singled-handed win 82 games in regular season, it doesn't matter if you can't win a playoff series.

MJ was 1-9 without Pippen in playoff, you can say TMac's better player without help. Does it matter? MJ's still the GOAT. He doesn't earn it in regular season, doesn't earn it without help.

So be it. Basketball is a team game. Team success is the only thing matters. You can have bad luck, injuries, bad teammates, whatever excuse you like. When it's all said and done. No one will show any sympathy.

Superstars find a way to win, if you need to demand a trade, demand a trade, everybody will kiss your ass as long as you can bring back the bling bling.

They are almost equally talented, yet Kobe is much tougher, so that is the difference.
I'd say Kobe is a better player offensively or defensively, or overally.
T-Mac was a two-time scoring leader of NBA is his prime, but Kobe was not?

    her username is WNBA.

    you can't take her seriously.

she's just here to bring an alternative, anti-rockets point of view.

looky here you T-mac ball suckers

We are talking about TEAM basketball and not one on one.

    This aint freakin AND1 basketball.

Kobe took his team to the playoffs and commands a lot of respect. When you hear about other players talking about other players they talk about Kobe and not T-MAc.

Kobe is the most feared player.

Kobe may not have taken them anywhere without Shaq but this year he has done something very special.

    KOBE IS BETTER THAN T-MAC.

Let me put it this way...

Kobe=one of best ever (like in the 30's or 40's)
TMAC=one of the best of this generation

Wasn't it Kobe who decided to rarely shoot the ball in one of the games against Phoenix in the first round a few seasons back to prove to people he could pass the ball and wasn't a hog?..
And resulted in the Lakers getting bundled out of the playoffs.
Now i wouldn't call that tanking.
But i would definately call it being an absolute sook.

And. Your comments prove that you hadn't even heard of McGrady before he was a Rocket - that 19 game losing streak - McGrady was injured for a large portion of that run.

Your attempt to talk up Kobe as being much better than McGrady has shown cracks in your respectibility and knowledge as a whole regarding basketball.

People were comparing the two when Mac was with the Magic, i seem to remember several articles most notably one from ESPNs Page 2 showing TMac as the favourite.
Now it is completely different. Kobe is the best. By far.

And just a last parting question...
competivity.... Did you ever go to English class?
