Jwill was showing some signs of life. Dwill wasn't good his first year either neither was billups. I think Jwill would have become a solid PG. We won't be rebuilding just taking a different path.

The Bulls should draft Rose. This is now a guard's league. Buck Feasley.

If you want to hypothesize about Tmac (and whomever else we put in the deal) to Da Bulls, think Hinrich, Nocioni, maaaaybe Thomas. But that #1 pick has more value than half-man, half-season.

i just hope our players that underwent surgery come back 100%, if so we are no doubt a championship contender..we have yet to have a healthy season with t-mac and yao...they noth have 5 months to rehab and condition..we should be NASTY next year

You talk as if it will simply be a matter of having the $$ to sign LeBron.

That is only the first requirement.

LeBron will be able to practically pick his destination if he does choose to leave his home state of Ohio in 3 years.

Everybody knows about the Jay-Z connection and if you are a Cleveland Indians fan, you definitely know about the Yankees cap incident.

I can't see any reason at this point that LeBron would ever choose to sign with Houston. I don't think the homeristic "becasue of Yao" argument is valid, either.

Maybe if Yao is healthy and still playing well and the Rockets are still contending into the next decade, it is a remote possibility but there is no way to really know how the league will look by then and whether that would even factor into LeBron's decision. He likely already knows what he wants to do when his contract is up and I doubt Houston is even on his map.

I would let go of this dream ASAP and think about more realistic scenarios.

Your trade T-Mac for the Bull's pick is far-fetched, too. The only way they would even consider something like that is if we took on Larry Hughes' contract and we most certainly don't want anything to do with that guy.

Just imagine the inefficiency of an Alston/Hughes or Rose/Hughes backcourt. Rose looks like a special talent, but he is a bad shooter. He will fit in wonderfully on a team with efficient scorers/shooters around him. The current Rockets don't have those kind of players. This wouldn't be the right environment for him and he wouldn't be right PG for us unless we plan to go into full rebuilding mode and give up on our championship aspirations for the next few seasons.

The only Rockets player who may be enough to pry a #1 pick from another team is Yao Ming. But even if we are willing to do that (everyone knows Les wouldn't), it will still take a Rocket scientist to work out the salary cap thing for the Bulls.

    No waiiiii!

Bull doesn't want TMac, we don't want a rookie. Besides, most would argue that 1st pick > TMac.

We can never say never but it's extremely doubtful Tracy will get traded unless of course we get another proven superstar of his caliber right now. Trading T-mac for the #1 pick will regress our progress and put us in near rebuilding mode. Even though Rose and/or Beasley might be superstars in the years to come, the time is now to win it all. All comes down to having good health to our main 2 stars

At this stage of the game I just cannot see the Rockets making a trade for anything but a proven player (not necessary a very good or starter) to add to the team. I would not be surprised if we trade or 1st pick on draft day.
T Mac won't be traded this year but the year after this(09/10) won't he be an expiring?

Question? With a trade exception can you include money with it!

Yeah a different path that leads to next year's lottery
Even if Rose becomes a monster, he won't be an All-Star his first year. Trading for Heinrich is much more reasonable (and that's not really all that reasonable) than this plan. Especially in light of all the overall #1 busts in NBA history, no way I'd pull the trigger on this deal...not to mention the financial impossibility of the trade.

I agree. It's astounding how much we overvalue this guy.

What else can we get from the Suns? I'm assuming that they still have Jalen's rights.

Neither team would want to do this deal. Simple as that.

Wow. This would be a monster fail for both sides. By the time the Bulls put pieces around Tmac to make them a LEGITIMATE championship contender Tmac will be over the hill.

If Rose becomes good enough to lead a championship contending team (big if), by that time Yao will be over the hill.

We need to win now. Bulls should be trying to win later.

The sad thing is the bulls have made it farther in the playoffs than we have in a decade. I think Rose will be good in 1 or 2 years. He dismantled dj Augustine and I thought dj Augustine was pretty good.
