Ha ha ha, and things are only getting worse for Bonzi.

Can you imagine if Bonzi actually signed that fat contract offered him? The Kings have got to be saying "whew".

The contrary position would be that Jackson took valuable PT from Brooks, stunk against a lower seeded team, Wells would have been a surefire SnT this summer while the Rockets may struggle to dispose of Jackson.

Bonzi's contract was very small and not many teams wanted Mike James. I agree with you that disposing Jackson will be hard despite his expiring contract.

Taking it a step further. If someone does have the opinion that Jackson's expiring has value this summer, the same could be said of James next summer for the Hornets. IOW, it's far too early to make the final evaluation of the trade.

Wells' contract is $2.3m and a SnT makes it ~$2.8m for Year 1. He could easily be added to Rasual Butler's $3.6m (two season remaining)

Adam Haluska contributed nothing, ABSOLUTELY ZILCH to this team. Loss goes to Rockets for acquiring scrubs like that

    LOL. :D
Even though BJax stunk it up in the playoffs, getting rid of James was great. Plus he's an expiring next year.

Even though i witnessed bonzi continue to miss layups for the hornets in the playoffs as he did with us in the regular season i think he would have made some kind of positive impact against utah.

Our biggest hole was the PG spot, we did good at the 4 and contained boozer really well

    Scolandry >> Boozer

Why would bonzi have been a surefire sign and trade when he could just end up on any team willing to split up their MLE w/o having to involve the rockets at all?

if somehow Morey had a crystal ball and saw that Luther Head would disappear in the playoffs again this year, I believe we would've kept Bonzi. We made that trade thinking that we were covered in the backup sf/sg with Head, but that didn't work out for us in the Playoffs

would we have won vs. the Jazz? Maybe, and thats a BIG maybe.

Sorry to burst your bubble...but I think one of the biggest reasons to why we lost was not because of this trade but it was because Yao was injured. Who are we kidding here? We weren't going to get that far, at least we have Bobby Jax contract to dump.

And if anyone is really going to argue with me to say that Bonzi was going to be the difference maker in us making the Finals and winning the championship... bring it on. Hahaha.
