I have heard of many people taking Facebook over MySpace for whatever the reason may be. I know there are many people here who use one or the other and even both sites so I thought I would put up a poll involving social networking sites. I know there are more than just MySpace and Facebook but those seem to be the biggest players in the market right now. Let's see who likes which.

I am members of both of these sites and was a frequent visitor to them when I first started using them but now I rarely ever check my accounts on either site. I mean it was fun at first and you can find friends that you haven't talked to in years but it kind of gets old...quickly.

I rarely use either, but MySpace has more of my friends on it, so I check it more often than Facebook.

Myspace sucked and still does. I used to go on FB a lot a long time ago when it was only for college students. Now FB is infested with too many disgusting gadgets and high schoolers.

I use both because some of my friends are Facebook only and others are Myspace only. Facebook seems more organized and has a better layout. The profile is easier to modify and manage. Also, Facebook used to be the only social networking site with applications that you can add but now Myspace has it also although the apps on Facebook are a lot easier to manage and use and seem more integrated. Other than that its all the same.

The apps kind of suck at times. They try to spam you.

I have both and check them maybe once a month, or once every other month.

I like having connections there to people I seldom talk to other than online.

You can modify the apps to disable emails.
I used to get a lot of emails but not anymore.

I agree it gets old quick. I like Facebook because it's cleaner, more to the point, and has more of a standard. I appreciate people have more freedom w/ customizations on myspace, but 90% of them look like a total mess (like Homer Simpson's homepage if you've ever seen the episode) and I don't have time trying to decipher them.

Facebook is starting to annoy me the same way too w/ the proliferation of gadgets/apps or whatever they're called. Some people have 20 of them on their page and I'm closing the window.

I have both a facebook and a myspace, but since my company's IT department decided to block both of them from all of us, now I use neither. I'm lucky if I get on either one of them once a week anymore.

Facebook is far superior to the horrible kludge that is Myspace, but it's starting to piss me off with the whole YOU HAVE 153 NEW NOTIFICATIONS FOR VAMPIRE GAME/SUPERWALL/etc. thing

I'm on both, but I'm pretty much only on MySpace because of a whopping two friends who blog on there relatively frequently, and the blogs are only visible to friends.

    FB owns MySpace.

Myspace is for white trash and people who didn't go to college.

I was pissed when they made facebook available to everyone, but generally all the poor people stayed on Myspace and all the elitist college-goers remained on facebook.

I guess it was an understanding we had.

Facebook was better, but its just as bad as Myspace now. All those damn apps just clutter everything and are r****ded and pointless. I dont use facebook anymore simply because of all the crappy apps. It was fine like it was before. With one or two.
