My take: I hate the Spurs because I'm a Rockets fan. I hate them because Bowen is DIRTY. This can't be denied and it pisses me off that the NBA looks the other way. Horry is getting a dirty rep too. And probably deserves it. Ginobilli is a flopping king. He doesn't even try to make a play when he flops. It's comical and also awful for the game. I admit Scola and Battier flop some too and I wish they wouldn't. Remember that Parker's woman admitted that he told her he has to stay on the ground to sell a foul. I hate them because they win a lot and they're in our conference. The Rockets' playoff performances have been lousy for many years, while the Spurs just keep winning consistently.
i actually hope Rox did that, when yao got hurt. At least rox will be looking to next season with a very good chance of adding a significant player.
Quality response. Too bad it's immature and incorrect. Or are you disputing the fact that Nash threw his arms and head back and straightened his legs out like he had been shot by Robert Horry instead of screened?
If there was a mount rushmore of Rockets rivals and I don't think they make it. Utah - Dallas - Phoenix - Seattle Followed by the Spurs and Lakers. I don't really hate the Spurs, especially since they've kept the Mavs and Suns from winning titles. I hope they do the same for Boston and LA, this year. Their time is about to past as champions, I believe this year or next year will be the last season that play at a championship level unless they bring a big FA. The Celtics had a great season, but I am not fan of there, neither I am of the Lakers. I just can bring myself to root for either one. I probably won't even watch FInals, if it is between those two. I'll root for Detroit, SA, and NO.
That's why girls don't play in the NBA. Robert Horry did what it takes to win, it's dirty, but any guy should just get back up, take his shots, and win the game. It's easy to get distracted by the hit, but winners just win, no excuses.
Not the same- Duncan is the best big man since Hakeem and Shaq. He is more durable and smarter player than Shaq. San Antonio tanked to get him. SA will not be dominant when Duncan does not dominate. Parker, Ginobili and Bowen cannot carry that team......... SA a fans are arrogant while their team with Bowen and Horry antics are nearly as dirty as the Jazz- recall Horry foul-flagrant on Nash - changed the series without Amare.....
Actually I would rather have the other little girl with pig tails Amare. I've never been, and never will be a member of the severely naive who believe Nash is a winner. Nash is not a winner. He always has excuses.
To the op, u can site similarities between the 2 teams, but there are some major flaws. The biggest flaw is, well the biggest flaw. Yao in his 6th campain isn't close to duncan in his 6th yr. I mean, by his 6th season, hall of fame and comparison to the greatest at his position all time was already in the conversation. Yao hasn't even made 1st team all nba. Its part of the reason why the rox can't take the step into elitism. Yao has been good, but not great. His impact on the game should be greater and I'm not talking about scoring. Its about impacting a game. When the team wins at 65% when ur injured, then ur not as impactful as u should. I like when people bring up parker. Parker is more of a scoring option than a pure pg. That why he avg 5 asst per as opposed to 8 or so. That's another reason why I think Brooks would be cool as the pg.
We have the same outstanding defense as Spurs, that's the biggest key to win series. Our lack are experiences and an excellent PG.
