Semi Tupac fan here. I took to his charisma and intensity but really never got into his full work. He had too much G-funk beats in his songs, and allowed a liiiittle too much Outlawz in his later albums. Just didnt ever put together the total "blend" I liked but whatever... I'd probably like some of his posthumous work like this vid. Cuz they actually concentrate more on the production and dont use much G-funk beats. But the irony is after he died I lost interest in him.
Those G-Funk beats were apart of the whole Pac sound. The reason I don't really like his posthumous work is because it doesn't sound like a Tupac album. It almost doesn't even sound right hearing him rap over commercialized beats.
Agreed, some songs sound like a mashup mix on youtube or something. I guess I'm like the producers then, ruining him cuz I want to apply commercialism onto his rawness BUT, he had some good songs before, during, and after Death Row. And hypocritically, I liked his appearance on this song Above The Law, 2Pac - Call It What U Want <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ta5aa4H56aA&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Ta5aa4H56aA&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
