In all seriosuness, that team was the catalyst for our entire relationship.

Our first date was Game Seven of the '94 finals, she had a ticket and invited me.

We were watching the Rockets the next year on TV, and Horry looked sad during the pregame interview because he would not get to have red velvet cake at Thanksgiving because the Rockets were playing.

So we went to Bookstop, found a recipe for Red Velvet Cake, copied it down, and made one the next day. We put on business attire the next day, went to the Summit, and marched into the locker room during practice. No one said even one word. We left a note and a cake in front of his locker.

We would eventually do the same with the following Rockets:

    Kenny Smith: Cherry Pie
Mario Elie: Some chocolate thing, i can not remember exactly
    Clyde: Something, I forget.
    Hakeem: Fruit basket
    Chucky Brown: Chucky Brownies
    Vernon (as a Sixer): Gingerbread
Calvin (in New Jersey): Chocolate chip cookies

It was so damn easy to sneak in to the summit. I doubt it would work now.

Chucky actually called to thank us. We spent the next Xmas filling out All Star Ballots with his name.

Its true, without those guys and jeff balke, we would have no basketball team.

Oh, our children will know, don't you worry.

Look deeper into your heart and you shall know the truth.

Life flows on within you and without you.

We all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun.

Robert Horry should be in the Hall of Fame loves you.

If you know he would have stepped up in games 2 and 4 for houston, why has he not done it for games 1,2 and 5 in new orleans. Because.....you ready for this.........he's not a HOFer. If the game was on the line, and i'm the coach, I Would put horry in the game. it's because he has a knack for hitting big shots. If I'm down 20 points in the 4th, I;m not looking at Horry to help us out. It's not going to happen. I love the rockets and was a fan of horry come playoff time. I just can't see him being in the HoF based on a hand full of clutch shots and a few good games. The regular season is what gets you into the playoffs, he was not a factor. You can not pull any HoFer out of those championship teams and replace him with horry and expect the same result.
