A spokesman for OGC said: “It is true that it caused a few titters among some staff when viewed on its side, but on consideration we concluded that the effect was generic to the particular combination of the letters OGC - and it is not inappropriate to an organisation that’s looking to have a firm grip on Government spend.” Those British....
That's FUNNY! I know I saw it somewhere already... I know I found a page, recently, with British company logos intended for something else and came up as showing phallic symbols, etc. ... hysterically funny... I am going to DIE if I can't find the effin' page... I know I sent it to someone... DAMN IT.
I don't care what the design or what's hidden did anyone miss the part that they paid 27,000 bucks for that logo. So basically type up three letters in photoshop squeeze them together and you make that much...got to be kidding me.
professional graphic design costs a lot if you think it's so easy, then be my guest and get yourself into the field!
Actually I do a lot of graphic design and web design myself. I guess im just not impressed by that to see it warrant 27,000 bucks. If i see something that is worth it then I would be giving it props. My first company was a graphic design company so I have been in the field and back. I don't do it as much anymore but trust me I know where it comes from and will give props to something that is worth it in my eyes. I just don't see it in this logo.
oh I don't think this particular logo is that great you just made it sound like it was easy as hell to get rich in the field or something, lol
When Enron was formed, the original name for the company was Enteron. En=energy, ter=international, ron=sounds cool. They paid thousands of dollars to another company to come up with this. They had a big party to unveil the new name, had it printed on all their letterhead etc. Turns out, Enteron is actually the name of a tube in your body that passes mucus from your mouth to your *******...
Kinda reminds me of when my hometown of Texarkana paid some company around $50,000 to come up with a new city motto. Don't ask me why a city needs a motto...but whatever...it had been "Twice as Nice" forever...playing off of the whole two cities in one thing... Well, after they paid this money...the company came up with "Southern Hospitality with Western Spirit." This totally ignored the fact that Texarkana is neither western or in the south.
