yeah - and to boot they wouldn't take my $1 dollar coins... the hispanic lady behind the counter kept yelling "this is not real money. i will call the police" ugh.
i live in the galleria area which one?????!?!?! i go to the one on richmond and fountain view are you talking about the one on westheimer and augusta?
All of you fools saying quizno's need to stop. Clearly this is all Quizno's fault, because they too only have 4 crappy subs for $5. No chicken, no beef, no bacon, etc. Only ham/turkey/roastbeef/tuna with your choice of cheese WHOOPDY DOOOO. It's all quizno's fault, so subway just changed their deals to make it the same as quiznos.
How is a turkey sandwich with nothing but mustard and vegetables loaded with sodium? There's hardly any meat on their sandwiches, it's all vegetables. Were I to make a turkey sandwich at home it would have twice the meat of a foot long at Subway.
2 slices of lunch meat has about 50% of your daily value of sodium a foot long has 4 slices. sometimes more.
FWIW, according to Subway.com's nutrition chart, a footlong Turkey Breast sandwich has 2000 mg of sodium. That's about 83% of your recommended daily intake.
I just saw a commerical about this and it looked lilke there were about 6 - 8 subs that were going to be $5...I only tried it once as footlong was more than enought...I usually get their 6" deal for $2.69 which is plenty...$5 is way too much in my opinion as you can go to restaurant for a lunch special for that kind of money...
yeah but most of use spend $5 for a footlong sub and that constitutes lunch AND dinner... $2.50 for two meals? can't beat that.
I can't believe a buck or two at most is causing such a stir! If only the marketing people at Subway/Quiznos were smart they'd make every Sandwich 5 bucks. Seriously is there that big of a price difference between ham or turkey and their so called "steak" ?
Yes, there is. How do I know that? I have a lot of connections in the Subway business and have seen the numbers myself so b**** and complain all you want, but it was a GREAT promotion that did wonders for sales and still having 8 subs for 5 dollars is still a pretty damn good deal. They were supposed to do a 3 dollar 6 inch promotion after the 5 dollar footlong promo, but I think it may have got pushed back to after this new and current deal.
They still had 5 dollar foot long subs here in Williamsburg, Brooklyn today. The only one that wasn't 5 dollars was the pastrami.
