Kobe was a great defensive player in the past but not so much anymore and the fact that he got the same number of votes as KG who was DPOY shows how much of a joke this thing is. also shane who had gotten 3rd in DPOY rankings not on the first team?? thats a complete joke imo. Shane will say it doesnt matter to him but I am sure he is upset about it as we all are.

I could be wrong. But a few years back I did try to compare the total number of rebounds of the Suns and Rockets per game. I remember the total number of rebounds of the Suns and their opponents was always more than 90 per game but the Rockets averaged around only 75 per game.
I think Bowen is the one on the first team that doesn't belong. He's there because of his past shut down ability. While still a top level defender, he's not what he used to be. His age exposed him several times this year.

I think this list was just a customer service effort Obviously, i guess Duncan has to be included in some kind of list every year. Its takes 2 guards, 2 forwards, and 1 center to complete the team 2 guards- Kobe and Bowen- one can man pg and the other sg Forwards- Now here is the problem, Garnett should be the first forward at PF, now ho the hell did Duncan come in at SF Center- Camby- he might be overrated but he is the best defensive center or close to it I still firmly believe that in order to make an NBA whatever team team, you have to pick the RIGHT players at each position. And there is no way, any coach will front these 5 players at the same time, just saying. But Battier was screwed big time
