http://msn.espn.go.com/page2/s/simmons/020215.html From ESPN.COM trade proposals: 10. Houston gets Joe Johnson ($1.6m/2005) and Roshown McLeod ($1.5, 2005); Boston gets Moochie Norris ($3.6m/2007). My main man Moochie playing for the C's ... I can dream, can't I?
That would be a steal for the Rockets. Joe Johnson would provide the Rockets with some much needed size at PG/SG. Despite being 6 ft 8, Johnson has the handling skills of a PG. The Celts must think Johnson is expendable since they have a logjam at SG/SF.
That would be an absolute steal for the Rockets. Joe Johnson is just a rookie with a lot of potential, and could end up starting at SF for us if it happened. Tierre Brown can certainly hold down the backup PG spot. I don't know if the Rockets would do it though, since they are so fixed with Moochie. Either ESPN is throwing out there usual bogus information, or the Celtics are really desperate for a PG. Moochie would be a nice fit in Boston, but not at the price of J.J.
You guys need to read the rest of the article. That's Bill Simmons, aka "The Sports Guy". He wants to liven up the NBA trading deadline so he came up with 10 trades that should happen to make it more entertaining.
never would happen..Rudy is infactuated with Moochie..I've seen the way he stares at him so lovingly when he slowly brings the ball up the court. Is it love?? Plus Mooch signed for such a hometown discount...LOL
That is too funny. Thanks nugzfan for dousing this thread before it got started with an actual discussion. What's even funnier is how earlier in the article Simmons was talking about how people just "make up" trade rumors, and then it starts flying all over the place as if it is a legitimate possibility.
I failed to read the article before I posted. Just realized he made them up...but they are still about as close as what Vescey comes up with . #5 is pretty off the wall though...no way we'd trade Cato for that barbarian Tyrone Hill. Number 8c is pretty funny also... <i>"Clippers get John Stockton ($8m/2003); Utah gets Jeff McInnis ($0.6m/2002) and Quentin Richardson ($1.1m/2004). Yeah, I know, I know ... Utah probably isn't trading John Stockton. But I can dream about him playing for the Clips, if only because it would be the strangest thing that ever happened. Wouldn't you love to be in the locker room when he's introduced to his new teammates Darius Miles and Lamar Odom, or when they give him some demeaning nickname like "Gramps," or when they try to get him to wear a red headband during games, or when they coerce him into playing in their weekly "NBA Live 2002" tournament? As if ESPN's new "Sidelines" documentary about the Clips isn't already absorbing enough (Sundays, 10 p.m., just trust me). This is actually a pretty good trade for both teams ... imagine a Clips team with Stockton, Odom, Brand, Miles and Olowokandi at crunch-time? Would you want to face those guys? Plus, Utah could follow that move up with this one ... "</i>
That's why I put the word "proposals" in there. The Rockets can't trade Moochie...it would mess up his bobblehead doll night. os
