do you guys realize how bad kwame is? <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/sHtZIZ3-ORE&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/sHtZIZ3-ORE&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I know its not exactly a challenging job but don't you have to be able to hold on to the towel at some point to qualify for this job?
I don't understand. If that doesn't tell you anything I don't know what does. His negatives(which is everything basketball) far outweigh is only positive(size).
I don't think any team will pick him up. The guy makes Shaq look good at the line, has stone hands and has no offense.
He is one of the worst players in the league. There are situational players, and there are Kwame Brown's. There is absolutely no reason for him to be on the floor. Don't give me that baloney about him being a good post defender, everyone schools him. Yao, Duncan, KG don't even blink when he's on them.
I think certain folks overlook the value of a good passer at the 4....especially moreso in Adelman's system. Say what you will about Chuck's negatives, but he is very willing and capable of making those passes from the high post that the old Sac offense revolved around. Does Mr Brown have the brains to make the right passes in that situation? I dont believe so.... Chuck's positives outweigh his negatives by a good amount.
I am wondering if you passed this judgment based on evidence or just felt like making it up. Kwame Brown is terrible. He cannot shoot, cannot finish, cannot guard, and can hardly ever catch a pass in post or traffic. However, based on what i have seen, he is an above average passer. Kwame might be loaded with problems but passing is the least of his concerns, and interestingly enough, that is the only thing you criticized about him. As for Chuck. It is true that he brings positives and negatives. It is debatable whether one outweighs the other. It could go either ways. But saying that his positives outweighs his negatives by a good amount when he puts such pressure on the team on the offensive end is ridiculous. I would never take Kwame over Chuck but the decision wouldn't be based on passing.
Yes, Kwame is a pretty decent passer. He is just very fragile mentally, all the booing by the lakers fans really affect his confidence. He is not useless, otherwise the lakers wouldn't have trade Butler for him and PJ wouldn't have started him instead of Bynum for a long time, especially against guys like Yao.
Kwame was always the starter when the lakers played the rockets, even Bynum was already a stud in the league. Kwame is very strong (even stronger than Bynum) so he could push Yao further out than any other their big men.
If we ever get Kwame Brown, Clutch should sticky a Kwame Brown bashing thread because its gonna get real ugly and we don't want 8 straight pages of F*** Kwame Brown threads. Mark my words that everyone who supports this insane idea will severely regret it. When Kwame gets in the game, blows defensive assignments, fail to box out and grab rebounds, commits stupid fouls leading to and-1's, fumbles easy passes that would lead to bunnies, turns the ball over on consecutive possessions, and try to take his man 1 on 1 only to stagnate the offense and put up a terrible shot then I will be right here waiting to dry your tears and calm your nerves by giving you this link so you can be reminded of your foolish wish.
He is a good example of why Michael Jordan will never be a successful executive. He really sucks at judging talent (or lack thereof)
I guess Phil Jackson and Mitch Kupchak are almost as bad. Because they traded a future all star in Caron Butler for Kwame.
then traded Kwame for Gasol, not bad at all. Caron Butler wasn't adjusting to the triangle, and Kobe, Luke, and Odom already were going to eat up most of the SF minutes anyway. Jury still out on Jordan, he needs to sign Okafor to an extension.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/brownkw01.html Interestingly enough, per 36 minutes (which everyone looks good in) through all the talks and trades this might have been his best all around season averaging almost a double-double* (*PER 36/MIN) Also interesting, he's a deplorable FT shooter but he shot 68-70% from the line his 1st 3 seasons. It basically shows things severely get to his head..either its an approach of with the "right environment" and support he can come around (Lakers already got fooled), or he's just gonna stay a knucklehead. usually its the 2nd one... Oh well, no Kwame thread is complete without the previous video and this <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6PP4RT-vv-o&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6PP4RT-vv-o&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
