i dont know what Beno Udrich you've been watching. I'm not gonna say he's our savior, but to say that he "just isnt that good" is ridiculous......BENO is a much more capable playmaker than Rafer. What are you talkin about? The guy gets to basket a lot and finishes. That's why he shoots such a great percentage. He was more than serviceable this year. You dont have to be LeBron James to be considered good. The guy can play

Udrih is for sure getting near-max MLE money. Considering his youth, he's probably going to get something like 20 mill/4 years, which isin't something the Rockets can afford when they already have Rafer and BJax on the payroll.

I say nyet. Go for Calderon or bust. ACCEPT NO SUBSITUTES!

Calderon would have to be a sign and trade IMO, and we dont have anyone to trade oher than BJax

With all the talk about Calderon wanting a starting job...who knows.

Granted, they'd be losing thier primary playmaker off the bench and it is taking a bit of a gamble on Ford, whose injury history might not warrent that...but still, all things considered (A clash seeming to develop between Calderon and Ford/a decent amount of quality PGs in the draft/a good amount of UFA PGs and the need for athletic interior players to back Bosh up, of which the Rockets do have a very good trade asset in Landry), I can see a decent possibility of Calderon being in Rockets Red next season.

Or maybe bibby was getting old, making a lot of money, and slowly declining....anyone ever thought of that?

    Udrih would be better.

    V-SPan would be better

    S. Blake would be better.

All options at a reasonable rate.

IMO the needs for this team go in this order of importance:
    1. An athletic, scoring wing player
    2. A quality backup F/C with height and length
    3. A point guard

The point guard is not the top priority right now. Aaron Brooks is at least a lock to be the backup point guard, and believe it or not Rafer is solid enough to still be the starting point guard. In the playoffs, we all saw how much better this team played with Rafer in the lineup. And remember that Francis has a chance to resurrect his career. If he does, that would complete our point guard rotation.

    You pretentious ****!

It is posts like this that remove anything remotely resembling "fun" or "leisure" from these boards...

... unlike this guy, most people have a life and therefore aren't up to speed on what is going down with every player in the league.

what's the point of talking about current NBA news when you don't know it?

The OP made a suggestion to be taken seriously, and he got pwned. No big deal, he'll live and be more conscious about knowing what you're talking about on a basketball board before posting.

didn't see him play this season, just based on last season with spurs

he was good in the earlier years, last year he looked terrible whenever i saw him play, maybe i'll try to watch some of his play with the kings sometime
