What kind of contract do you think he can get?

What I'm wondering is, if we traded Hayes, could Kwame be a possible minimum salary signing that would effectively replace Hayes? Good post defender, much longer, better shot blocker. Will some team offer him more than the minimum and who are they?

Yeah, yeah, I already know, he's a knucklehead and a loser. Don't bother with that.

He will get more than the minimum, although he isnt worth it. So i say no. Id prefer Chuck anyway. Better heart, better hustle, better defense minus shot blocking and more versatile in who he can mark.

I think he would get more than the minimum, but if we could get him for Chuck's salary that would be a bargain.

I wouldn't even take him for free simply because the overload of threads in the GARM projecting him as a possible All-Star after realization of his potential under Adelman would be virtually unbearable.

As hard as it is to believe and I can't believe I am actually saying it, but Hayes is probably worth more.

He wouldn't be bad as a F/C reserve at $2 to $3 million per. He's a loser that will never get it, but his time in LA under Phil helped him a lot. He'll never outlive his status as one of the biggest top pick busts ever, but he's fairly solid backup at the 4 and 5 with good size (6-11).

I agree. For a few million he would be a great pickup at his size. He gave Phoenix problems in the playoffs a few years back simply because they had no one who could match his size and strength.

He is definitely a bust and a bit of a knucklehead but he is 26, 6'11" and weighs 270lb and can run the floor as well as any big guy in the game. That is always nice to have on your roster.

He might make a good towel boy, but he would probably really suck at that too.

I wouldn't mind having him as our backup C for a couple mils a year. True he is a bigtime bust, but his size is what we need.

If Chuck's misses around the basket and at the free throw line frustrate you, you are not going to like Kwame Brown. He misses just as many point blank shots, and he doesn't have the excuse of being undersized and earth-bound.

Hayes plays way bigger than his size. Kwame plays like a preschool girl that touched a basketball for the first time and has the preconception that it has cooties.

Don't even joke about matters like this. Kwame is absolutely atrocious and it would be sheer blasphemy if anyone would want him. Phil Jackson gave him a shot, he played with some of the best players in the NBA (Kobe, Jordan), and yet he can't even produce on a crappy Memphis team. Do the math yourself. He's worthless.

Ditto. He'd be a 10-15 mins/game backup for Yao with no expectations of grandeur.
