i don't know if any of you watch that old show, but tonight, it was absolutely incredible. a guy gave up his immunity idol based on the promises of girls. and then all the girls turned on him and voted him off. i was laughing so hard can't stop now. there has been 3 blind side earlier too. i thought the first guy was the dumbest, then the 2nd guy was dumbest, now this is dumbest ever in the history of survivor.
it could be. but i doubt that guy would just gave up a chance for 1 million dollars. maybe he wants to be remembered. he did a real good job of that.
100% chance it was staged. i'm sure he was offered 50k by the producers or something like that. he had 0% chance at winning the game. the kid scoops ice cream for a living. taking any decent amount of money to do that is a no brainer. his acting was awful and transparent. cirie has the game won.
I'm going with 100% chance that it wasn't staged. Since Survivor is a show with a cash prize, it has to follow the laws on "Quiz Shows". And ever since the Quiz Show scandels of the 50's, the government has been very strict about enforcement of "fairness" in shows with cash prizes (See link for more details). The show would pretty much be done if it was found out that the produces rigged the competition in any way. It's just not worth it for them.
What's even more surprising is how that garbage is still running and people are actually watching that crap. I thought Survivor got canceled 5 years ago.
I think this is an interesting to watch from a sociological perspective. The poor dude had no idea how to operate outside his "ice cream scooper" mode. A decent percentage of people will do what someone who acts like they have authority (or just act like they know what they are talking about) tell them to do even if they know it's the wrong thing.
ya. it's not really "survivor" since those folks are not really surviving. but all the back stabbing and gossip makes it fun to watch. i kind of feel bad for the kid, i think he likes a couple of the girls there.
Why say its staged and ruin the fun for us? When the girls sat down after the immunity challenge and actually proposed that strategy, it was a long shot. Cirie really sold it to Eric, more than Nat. I was so happy to see Eric win the challenge, I really wanted him to stay, but the turn of events wasn't bad either. Best survivor season ever, cannot wait until reunion, Sunday right?
I saw this last night. This is the first season I’ve (sort of) watched since the 1st one. You’d be surprised to find out how many horrible shows I watch now since getting TiVo…. I thought there was something wrong with that boy even before he did that. I liked how he was crossing his fingers before the voting. Did he actually think he had anything less than a 100% chance of going home?? Even the chick he gave the immunity to voted for him. Everyone was laughing at him, even the jury people - and this was before the voting. Apparently, he was the only one who didn’t know he was going home.
without reading that i can guarantee you there are a zillion loopholes. producers nosing in and influencing players is done. period. that's not my opinion or conspiracy theory, it's a fact.
There is absolutely no reason to stage that. You get money for the longer you stay in the game(though it's rarely mentioned). All he needed to do is win one or 2 more immunities and he'd have a good chunk of money + a shot at the million depending on who made it there with him. And it would have been more interesting to see him make it that far, but he's just an idiot.
