With the trading deadline a week away, have you heard any rumors concerning the Rockets? Or, do they plan on sitting pat.
We're trading Jason Collier for a new backboard, a sixer of Natural Light, and a ballboy to be named later... count on it...
Thanks for posting this Hottoddie, I was just about to make a new topic asking if we had anything going after reading the article on espn.com about the Knicks possibly making a trade. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/recap?gameId=220213018 I don't know that we would want anyone on there though?
I'm not the esteemed Father of Eyes (see picture), but here's some scuttlebutt from a Warriors board, posted by a regular not known for peddling rumors (much less making up BS). He said he heard that a deal with the following parameters is being discussed: * The Warriors would be trading three players (one of them is Jax) plus a conditional #1 pick (I did not get which draft, but I think it is future). * They'd get a single player in return. He is ranked in the Top 10 in the league at his position. He does not play SG or PF. * The deal is on the table. The main issue is that it would put us over the luxury tax next year, so we are deciding whether to do it or not. * This rumor has not been in the press. This is not Camby, not NVE, etc. It seemed less than 50/50 that it will happen - but still very real possibility. IMO, we'd be out of our minds to pass it up. If it does not happen, I will post it on Feb 22nd and see what everybody thinks. It helped me understand St. Jean's comments in the press yesterday when he said 'there are terms like Luxury tax' - I bet he wants to do the deal, but is getting push back from Cohan. From my math, I think we are talking a couple of mil -- not a huge thing. If this deal does not happen, the deal that will happen is Jax for protected #1 from Phoenix. The poster, in answering questions went on to say that the hoped-for player is "significantly younger" than Gary Payton, has been an All-Star, makes more than $10M/year, and is not Jalen Rose. The main guess on the W's board is Marbury. If Oeilpere or Doc Rocket won't give you cryptic puzzles to solve, I hope this will do.
If they were sending Jamison aay, they wouldn't worry about the luxury tax. If he said he's been an All-Star, younger than Payton, there's only a few people it can be.
Yeah, Walt is going to be traded. Oh wait....that's supposed to have happened each of the past 3 years...
I would love to see Marbury in a backcourt with Jason Richardson. I'm all for it, maybe I should get season tickets again. Swopa you still live in the bay area or did you move?
In <a href="http://bbs.clutchcity.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=28038&highlight=rockets">Oeilpere's last post,</a> he said he'd just got a new job, and would be moving, and that he would be very busy for awhile...
Damn! As soon as I saw Oeilpere's name on this page I freaked out hoping he'd respond. Come on man... don't leave your fans waiting like this. Throw us a bone...
OP is busy, im sure once hes situated he will come and give us some juice but wait for a while, dont call him out like that. Ps. Op if you are readin this, email me some rumors, throw me a big bone! WOOF WOOOOOF
