I thought it would have been closer between Kobe and Chris...either way well deserved. btw nice sandals Phil....LOL!!!
I like Kobe the basketball player, but does anyone else find that his smile, attitude, and sincerity a little fake? This was the same guy a few months go who blasted his GM, owner, and teammates. Anyhow, congrats to him for winning the award.
Well, it was either him or Paul. I'd rather have Paul get it but whatever. At least it's not totally undeserved like last years. I'm pretty sure he was about 220 last year and tried to get to 200 this year. It was a big topic during the FIBA Americas tournament.
Every time I click on the NBA dish and read this thread title.....I keep thinking Kobe receiving something else. I guess I'm just used to something like "Kobe wins MVP" or "Kobe to be named MVP" something along those lines. You know?
Exactly what I thought from the video, and that picture as well. Maybe I just never noticed how much of an egg-head he has on top of that wiry neck because he's usually in a wider collared uniform.
I didn't. It actually sounded real unlike early in his career when he was a loner on the Lakers. Because he blasted them doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate how far they've come since then and how their play has helped him win the award. He mentioned all this yesterday as well.
That was quite the contrast from last year. Kobe gets the award in front of a cheering home crowd and high-fives his teammates. Last year, Dirk received it at an almost joyless press conference after his first round tank-job against the Warriors.
haha, did anyone notice when kobe was asked if he could have done anything different in the summer, and he said "No, I was always right" There was this awkward silence, until he said "I was joking". then it became a nervous laughter, lol. I love Kobe though, ant think out of the last 4 MVP'S, this is the most deserved
