Bonzi Wells is the only player out of that entire list that has actually done something since leaving the Rockets. It would have been an abomination to keep those players.

I'm amazed at the lack of people who think Chuck Hayes is worth keeping. Regardless of his height, he's easily the best low post defender on the team. I think the Rockets would be hard pressed to find someone better defensively than Hayes, because it sure as hell isn't Scola or Landry.

3 out of 5 ain't bad. Rafer is, and will be, the starting point guard. Steve has to play himself into a position to even have a reserve role. The problem with starting Luis at 4 is he does not (yet) have an outside shot to command double team attention away from Yao or Tracy. He's really an undersized 5 and may very well be a better fit for that position as a reserve. We could have a heck of a reserve team to give the starters rest and/or fill-in for someone in foul trouble: Luis (5), Landry (4), Novak (3), Francis/FA/rookie (2), brooks/FA/rookie (1). No Hayes or Head or Dekembe,

Well for his height he's an excellent defender, with his good load of rebounds and steals each night.(and like 3-5 fouls in 20 mins lol). I think its just we already have Scola and Landry, that Hayes' isn't as needed.(considering he was starting just at the beginning of this season...).

I'd love to keep Hayes...wouldn't trade him unless in a package for a really good player. But once again too 1 dimensional and like 2 points in 20 mins.

After seeing Tmac's name and NOT seeing Alston name on the trading list, It reminded me of a famous quote from "Rick James:,,,,,Cocaine is a hell of a drug

I think that these guys will be gone:

    Deke -- retiring

Woods -- scrub; will be cut.

Mike Harris -- won't get any minutes on this team.

Francis -- has nothing left; doesn't have a spot on the team

    Players who will be here:

Luther Head -- although proven to be useless in the postseason, he'll still be under contract for another year.

Hayes -- Chuck Wagon is a valuable defensive stopper

Novak -- His outside shot alone gets him a roster spot

Jackson -- Expiring contract and trading bait. Expect him to take a reduced role behind Brooks and be moved before the trading deadline.

None of the starters will be touched.

    Show mutombo respect.

Why are fans such quick mind changers. Did we not see the impact we had before Yao went down? Give it one more damn year before even thinking about trading our role player.

Are you guys stupid enough to play the Suns and Dallas game. Suns were destructive before they made changes just for the sake of change. They were desperate, and did not spend more time thinking and got Shaq. Look what hole they duck themselves in to.

Look at Dallas, they were doing pretty well as well until Kidd came in and Harris went out. Harris is a good potential young player, but desperating completely ripped their roster up.

After seeing what we could do this season, why not give it one more. We are not the suns, we haven't been trying the same thing but failed in the end. This year happened because of injury only, it has nothing to do with our ability and roster.

All we need is work our bench. Guys, did Hornets make a major change in roster to become who they are now? No, they made adjustments. We made our adjustments, but we couldn't do as well (still pretty damn well) due to injuries.

The last thing we want is become another laughing stock like Suns and Dallas.

Who said? But honestly he might, but we don't know that for sure. I think there is a fair chance he'll come back, just because we'll be a true championship contender next season, and Deke is awesome...lol...the awesome part is just my opinion...

I agree with this. They're likely to be packaged off in a deal for Miller etc.
    Their contracts are not guaranteed.

I disagree. But I know a lot of people share the same view on Steve Franchise. We'll see though. He is still a former all-star...thats at least one positive right...I think we should keep Francis...he is only 31, and if not a starter at least a good back-up. I hope Stevie comes back strong from injury and play a major part in our next campaign. We can't just let him leave without knowing what he can do...Let him prove himself...Give him a chance

    Players who will be here:
Are you serious?!!!  I can't believe I just saw someone who said we will keep Luther Head... I expect him to be gone in our next trade. Hes useless...not that great in the regular season either...and from the latest playoffs, he's proven to be a horrendous player in serious situations...

and keeping Hayes?! Thats not likely to happen either, I want to keep him but I don't see it happening as we want to trade for Miller etc. right? and so we need players to trade for those players and with Scola, Landry playing well I think Hayes will be traded.

Jackson? Our no.1 trade bait. I can settle with the trading before trade deadline part but...he won't be here next year, or at least not be part of our plans...Will be traded away as soon as the opportunity comes up...

I think this statement is ...um...don't want to be rude here but ridiculous.
we might trade away Rafer...we might trade away Shane...and the chances of that happening aren't small either...
I honestly think we will trade Shane, hes not contributing enough on the offensive end...but I want to keep our star defender. But if we get Artest, then obv Shane is very tradeable.
    starters untouched? Unlikely!

Feel free to disagree...those are just my suggestions

What credit? He did exactly the same as the last few years and the team still needs a serious upgrade at that position.

If you are going to have a guy shoot as much as Rafer, then you want someone that can at least hit 42+% of his shots.

Rafer is a sub 40% shooter....not good enough.
