As far as I am concerned, they are nothing.

 

I believe they're both mixed, first gen black/white.

Here's my rule of thumb:

If your family has been in America for more than 100 years, you're mixed no matter what you LOOK like. Most African-Americans have been here for at least that long.

Deron's half-white. They showed his mom when they drafted him. His family was mostly white. That's why he likes to be called DAR-on instead of De-ron.

 

Kidds Dad is black, mum is white.
I think the same for Deron although I can't be too sure because Chris Lofton looks like both of them but Lofton's mum is just a really light skinned african-american lady.

 

Or maybe he likes being call that because it the way his name has always been pronounced...
