Yeah we're pretty much screwed on the Mo Taylor deal. I doubt we could trade him. No one except Drewdog thinks he's worth that kind of money.

Everyone on this board will be whining about Mo Taylor sucking and how his contract is terrible at midway through next season. Guaranteed.

I remember a crazy playoff run where a 6'10" skinny ass forward who happened to be an outstanding 3 point shooter and shot blocker played power forward for the rockets. I also seem to remember his 3 point abilities forcing Horace Grant to rotate out to the perimeter, freeing up the lane for Hakeem and Drexler to penetrate. I seem to remember something about winning an NBA title that season to. Did anyone else learn a lesson from Robert Horry's play that year?

Eddie Griffin will be a power forward. The bottom line is that the last thing the rockets need is a power forward who doesn't like to rebound or play physical defense. Griffin's 3 point skills will only make him more of a threat at the 4 spot, and hopefully will free up some of the zone for Steve and Cat to drive more.

The best thing for Mo Taylor and the Rockets would be to trade him for a draft pick or veteran small forward.

Hey, stop messing with Drewdog. He's got balls of steel (I couldn't imagine walking up to Steve, Cuttino, and Kelvin at a bar...).

You've been here, what, a whopping 3 days and you're already sick of something. Pretty quick. And now you are going to put a punk in his place on a message board. OK then.

I will give you credit though, you seem to spell better than most newbies.

Rice and Taylor will be the starters next season, mark my words.

Maybe not all season, but they are the starters.

All we can hope for is that Rice has a good season, Mo T becomes the backup C as well, so he can play with Eddie, and Rice decides to call it quits at the end of next year.

I agree with you, look at Kobe. When he was 19 he wasn't that good, and now he is the best player in the NBA! So the Rockets must keep Griffin, so they have at least two all star players in the future.

I know Griffin personally and everyone who thinks he cant dribble is wrong. I admit he is no gary payton but he can dribble and he is working on it everyday. Griffin will be a 3/4 version of tim duncan. Basically a combo of duncan and KG. Thats not a bad combo. He is bulking up too. Hes on a rigorous liftin program. Griffin is a franchise player. Get rid Cat because he is so erratic in his performance and cant play D. Move stevie to the 2 spot and get a true Pg who can rack up assists. Get some size in the middle and everything else will fall into place. Griffin for ROY!!!!!!!

You can play a lot of different combinations when you have the best player in the nba playing the pivot. Horry played good, but if my memory serves me, Hakeem avg 32pt and 12rebs in the finals. Horry played some good games, but it was next to impossible for anyone to guard Hakeem. If you didn't double or triple him, you could take the ball out because it was point scored.

Millgriff, welcome to the board. Interesting about Eddie's handles. Rudy similarly commented in the Chronicle today about Eddie being able to put the ball on the floor somewhat in the future.

Do you have any insight into Eddie's inside-game? You made the Duncan comparison. What type of moves is Eddie developing, looking to develop? Do you think he can become an effective go-to guy down low?

Well Griffin has always had an awesome inside game. He is much stronger than he looks. He has such a smooth demenor in the way he plays that it seems like he gets tossed around but thats not true. Now the death of his brother Marvin was touch for him. Lets remember though his brother tought eddie how to play. Marvin was a 6'5 center so he knew loads of post moves and tought eddie everything. If they made eddie a priority player he would be the ROY, but I am not the coach. Also, last year at seton hall he had an awesome PG in Andre barret, this year he has no PG. Marvin used to make him run up and down the driveway for hours when he was young. Eddie grew up playing all positions so he knows how to dribble. He has also had to get used to the NBA and how to get good numbers in limited minutes. He played the entire game in every previous to this year. Eddie is going to start hitting shots from all over the court with a high %. I have a feeling eddie is gonna be the talk of the league in the months to come. Just keep watching and hopefully the rockets will make a blockbuster trade to shape the team around eddie and Stevie. They wont win immediatly, but next year the rockets will be a forcel. Lets juust hope we make that trade, what do we have to lose anyways? Nothin! Remember eddie is 19 hes not going to be able to pull a jason kidd in the second half of this season like the jason kidd did for the nets this first half. He will be the next great bigman of the west. Forget about Pau or battier. A 2 year old could get PT on that team. HAHHAHA

I don't know about you guys but the more and more I watch Francis the more I realize that he is a 2. Yeah he can pass and all and gets the assists but the guy has absolutely NO clue how to run the offense and get his teamates involved properly. I mean how the hell is Andre Miller getting 10 assists a game when he has absolutely no scorers on that team, well with the exception for Lamond Murray. Anyhow just thought I should vent a little in this thread that actually started out good but deteriorated rather rapidly.
