how can you even blame tmac, if you do you must be some dump poop head.
He play his heart out, no matter how great a player you are you can't win a game all by yourself even if you are like the best player in basketball history, its a team sport if your team doesn't play well, you had like no chances of winning the game. Its not one on five is five on five simple as that.

    Let's be real....

When the game was on the line the Jazz threw everyone at T-Mac. Everyone in the building new who the only player was on the Rockets who could beat them, which is why his teammates were wide open when he passed to them. When Jordan did it and his teammates knocked down their shots, people talked about how he made everyone around him better. (His ROLE players taking the winning shots of a championship game...and hitting them!)

When T-Mac does it and his teammates miss, he disappears when the game is on the line. So not only does he not get an assist, but he's seen as not shooting, therefore he's disappeared. But when he starts to shoot because no one else can hit the side of a barn, he's padding his stats?

And the line about him resting on defense...did anyone else notice that when McGrady had to play defense on their Center because we had no one else who could stop him? I guess he was what resting or padding? Please inform us.

    Let's be real...

I have the utmost respect for both Yao and TMac but this is not solely Yao's team, he is not dominant enough to take over a game by himself and he is hurt too often. If Tracy is traded, we better get an offensive force in return or this team without Tracy will be a .500 team at best, and that is assuming Yao stays healthy.

dude we've been building around yao. getting tmac was to help and build around yao. what have you been watching?

too bad yao isn't healthy enough the past few yrs. as much as tmac has regressed a little bit, yao hasn't taken up the superstar role that he should be taking up.

and you with the "t-back" name-calling, lol.

    I agree. First of all T-Back ... that's ain't funny, it's dumb

How can we build the team around Yao if he can't play even 60 games a season? That means no.1 guy will miss 20 games every season (or more)

I only hope they can stay healthly next season, Yao and McGrady. T-Mac has stepped up but you can't do it alone...

I am a Rockets fan and that's why I was so mad at the pathetic 3rd QTR and the one player who was supposed to carry us and didn't let the Jazz to pocket the win during the 12 minutes. I was mad at the fact that he scored 0 points in that QTR and the he came alive again in the garbage time only after the outcome of the game had been decided. The same cannot be said about you, fake Rocket fan aka T O F.

So you now admit that you were a moron to call me a jazz fan and say I would worship the Jazz. Good.

The key to the 3rd quarter was to get everyone involved, because it was clear in the first half that the one man show gig wasn't going to get it done. T-Mac was on pace to get 56/14/6 yet still end up in an 8pt loss to the Jazz...we needed more players to get it going, and they never did.

To blame T-Mac for a 22pt loss in a game where he went for 40/10/5 on 13-26 shooting is ridiculous.

Look at today's Laker vs. Jazz game, Kobe was 21/23 at FT line, and Lakers won by 11 points.

With our deam Mr $20M, he would make around 12 at FT line, and that would make it a close game and give the opponent a lot of chances to change the game in the last minute.

There is simply no excuse for a swing man to have a FT % that poor. Yes, he did well (or excellent/great as you would call). But don't forget that his SUPER SUPER poor performance in the other games' fourth quarters and his SUPER poor performances at the FT line, which could have changed the result otherwise.

Maybe he can use injury as excuse for something else, but there is no excuse for him poor FT. Court depth perception?

you also forgot that kobe was 2-8 in the 2nd half tonight. 1-6 in the 4th. but guess what, his team won.

tmac's ft shooting should be better, but he is a superstar.

    but by your analogy,
howard makes $4 mil and gets 14-15 rebs a game, shoots 60%+ every game, and dunk everything in his sight

yao makes $13 mil going on $17 mil, get 9-10 rebs a game, shoots barely 50%, and gets blocked and rarely dunks.

    that's just dumb knowledge.

kobe is a better shooter than tmac (along w/ fts). he has a better team so his 4th quarter disappearance isn't as big of a problem.

tmac is not as good of a shooter, but he does other things better than kobe (rebounding, passing, defending--yes tmac's D > kobe's D in the playoffs). but he doesn't have his full complement of players right now b/c of injuries.

Kobe's overral 4th quarter performance is better than T-Mac. Yes, maybe you can blame Kobe's 4th quarter performance for this game, but there are not many such games for you go complain him. But there are a lot of poor FT games to complain T-Mac about. Accept it.

DH doesn't demand DT. And dunking it or not, it doesn't matter. When played head to head, Yao owned DH. Yes, DH is better than Yao in most of the times in rebound. I admit.

2 pt is 2 pt. If T-Mac never goes to the rim but can still do well with his jumper, 3 ptr, FTs, I won't complain. Yeah, dunking the ball sounds som exciting. US bball teams still do a lot of dunking in the past 3-4 years in all international games, but what did they get?

Replace Kobe with T-Mac for this kind of games, T-Mac will convert it to a close game, which will give the opponent a very good chance to change the result of the game. This is just a simple fact. Maybe you just don't like to admit it.

dwight howard doesn't demand double teams? what have you been smoking? gimme some of that. why do you think they are so good at 3s? howard draws double/triple teams quite frequently.

well, the jazz game was close too b/c kobe couldn't close it out right? i'm not blaming kobe b/c he played great. i'm using your logic. the game was at 19 pts to 5 pts. gasol made 2 great players to close out the game and they hit their fts.

so i'm not sure about tmac would convert it to a close game or not b/c i was sure it was ONLY A 5 POINT GAME WITH 3 MINUTES LEFT. if 5 pts don't indicate a close game to you, then i don't know what is.

all i'm saying is kobe can struggle for ONE HALF (like tonight, and like he did in game 1 v. the nuggets) -> lakers can still win.

tmac can struggle for ONE QUARTER -> we have no chance.

With T-Mac's poor FT, with 3 min left, Lakers would be falling behind. The game would be even easier for Jazz. Got it?

Almost everyone will be DT'ed at some time. To make it accurate, I should have said: DH doesn't demand DT as often.

uh, the lakers missed 5 fts down the stretch in the last 2 minutes. what the hell are you talking about?

utah just couldn't make jack in this game. the lakers would have choked it if not for 38%.

and lemme give you this stat:
kobe scores 24 in one half and the lakers lead by 14
tmac scores 28 in one half and the rockets trail by 4

    get it now?

go watch a magic game. detroit rarely double anybody (even yao) so don't use that as your judgement.

on most teams in this league, dwight howard gets doubled 90% of the possessions (watch the raptors series)

Before the last 2-3 minutes, if Kobe's FT is only around 50%, Lakers will be falling behind Jazz already, and it would make it much easier for Jazz to close the game out. Don't you get it?
