Can somebody give me a breakdown of what happened in that 3rd quarter? I looked on my phone and the Rockets pulled within 4 by half but in the 3rd they were down by 20 again. :(

Oh yea it is, and it was especially during 3rd quater

That's easy. Guys were not making shots. 11 points in 12 minutes tells you everything about it.

As T-Mac said, without Rafer we are completly different ballclub. In the 3rd no one was really agressive, Bobby sucked as hell taking only long bombs. Aaron Brooks entered the game, got 4 WIDE OPEN 3s and didn't knock down any of them.

T-Mac tired some jumpers but they were simply 2 or 3 guys around him when he had the ball.

It was definitely a game of lows and highs and lows again, but I'm proud of the Rockets. They did more than anyone, including the fans, thought they would. I just hope everyone recovers by next season. It sucks to see our guys in pain so much and so often.

As much as I despise Lakers fans, I want to see the Lakers destroy the Jazz. Who, other than people who live in Utah, actually like the Jazz? The Jazz really aren't THAT good. I want to see them go down.

do you think mutombo will extend his contract for the 08-09 season or retire after this season? also what role should he play next year? if he retires....... besides the fact that he's a humanitarian...

    What a Season!

A team that could have been devastated by all the injuries was not. Someone always stood up.

A Point Guard that was essentially shown the door decided to prove that this was his team to lead.

Players that I don’t believe have the skills to be on a team with aspirations for a championship showed that Heart can take you a long way.

In fact some players that I felt had little Heart showed some.

An old man showed that age is nothing but a number. And Rookies played above their heads.

The 22 game winning streak was great.

There are some people I think need to not be here next season, but Morey has done such a great job so far I will keep them to myself and let him do his job.

Thank you to Les Alexander, Daryl Morey, Rick Adelman and Staff and all the team for a wonderful ride.

I would not have thought I could be so proud of a team that lost.

    Great Season.

This was one of the most phenomenal seasons ever. Sure, it would have been better with the championship, but hey, at least we tried. We put up with a lot of criticism about the 22-game winning streak being a fluke, and saying we were not contenders the playoffs (better yet, make it) without Yao. However, we proved we could still win and in the end, we lost in 6 games to a good Utah team, that I believe was beatable with more scoring, which is where we miss Yao. But, we saw a lot of good things this season that could help us next year. First off, Adelman did a great job replacing JVG, although it may seem he's relaxed. Second, Morey is a beast at drafting/trading. Gotta give him props on that. Third, we saw how much of a beast Rafer can turn into, this being his best season, imo. Fourth, Scola, Landry, Brooks, at first I thought these guys were gonna be okay-ish, but they turned out to be really good, with Scola being up there for ROY, Landry being a solid player and Brooks being a fast PG. Fifth, we learned what we could do without Yao, and how much we need him (and figure out what guys to draft or sign, etc.). So, congrats Rockets, I love you guys, and I'll always stick with y'all.

    There's always next year :)

Great heart from start to finish. I knocked tracy sometimes when I saw that he wasn't giving his all in games this season, but if he can get COMPLETELY healthy and STAY healthy (not to mention yao), we can be dangerous a year from now since all of our role players have gotten invaluable experience. NBA Champs in 08-09!

    CarlHerrera signing off...

    Dear Les,

You should be looking at your coach like you want to kill him . .. That definately gets results

    Sincerely,
    Mark Cuban

Actually, Uncle Les should be used to this feeling by now. After all, he's got all of that practice from the Carroll Dawson years under his belt...

Sloan changed his game plan. Just like the Game 7 in 2005, the Jazz defense focused on our role players rather than Tmac.

We definitely need a scoring option off the bench. Someone who can really create his own shot, unlike Landry who depends on assists from t-mac and alston. Someone earlier mentioned Mike miller....is he a possibility?

The person who would give us our money's worth if traded would be Battier. This guy is good defensively but has no offense. We will never get out of this scoring slump with him getting all this minutes. I would trade him and landry for ron artest! lets do it morey!
