Can't believe you, Raven. Of course it was fun.

What's the alternative... living in Seattle right now?

Some just don't get it.

Great effort. Just not enough talent.

They went much further than they should have based on effort alone.

We need to add talent on this team.

Let's face it, we weren't even expected to make the playoffs after Yao Ming went down. The Rockets went all the way to 1st place in the West, before falling a bit at the end, and running out of steam in the playoffs. This was a good season, and next year will be a great season.

 I doubt T-Mac would be this fatigue if we had another scoring option other than himself. Yao perhaps??? He did not show this fatigue when we had a healthy Yao (which im praying to the basketball gods they will BOTH be healthy for the MAJORITY of next year)

T mac took control of this game in the begining, and no one else in the history of the nba could do it the way he did at the begining other than the original 23 himself. Down the stretch he made stuff happen, but outside of Scola he had 0 help. None. And you are going to say trade him? Yeah I would love to trade him for guys like bobby jackson, bonzi wells, tyronn lue, etc.

    This team is awesome, man.

I'm so excited for next season.
I want us to play them again and sweep them. I'm sure it can be done. The Rockets are the real deal. If Rafer wasn't out the first two games, we'd definitely go to seven.

    Rockets for 09 Champs!

Thank you rockets for an entertaining season, the 22 game win streak was unbelievable. Hope next year things will work out better and tmac + yao and others will finally get their ring.

This season was...enigmatic? Mercurial? Stressful? All of the above?

From the initial growing pains of adjusting to Coach Adleman's system, to the streak, to Yao going down - I never really knew how to feel day to day about the team. But I have to say I'm sad, but not depressed or angry about this season. The team has shown heart since day one, and continued to fight through injury after injury. Yao's foot, Tracy's injuries, Rafer's ankle/hammy, Battier's ankle/foot came up. But the team kept fighting.

There's going to have to be some improvement in the offseason roster-wise. But we also had three rookies get valuable experience in the regular season and playoffs (Brooks, Scola, Landry) that contributed and can grow for next year. A shooter is going to need to come into play. The draft is key (yet again). But I still have hope for next season...there seems to be a coherent plan in place to get younger and more athletic. Hopefully this remains the case.

It would be sweet if we could add somo huge 7 foot 6 monster with a soft shooting touch who changes the game by just being in the line up.

    Get er done Morey!!!

We added some talent this year. Scola and Landry.

Like just about everyone else, I never expected them to get to the playoffs when Yao went down; nor did I expect them to win this series. They played so gutsy for games 3, 4 and 5 that they finally made me a believer. It was a Clutch City moment.

They lost, but I think everyone should be proud of them. I certainly feel better going into next year than I did last year.

    I'll take a 7' 0" guy... less injury prone. ;)

I'm glad you are not the GM, at most you'll get one of those three.

It was a fun ride...even though things got off to a rough start. Can't deny the heart of this team; every time they were counted out they proved the naysayers wrong.

Who knows how next year will play out; we might get hit with the injury bug yet again. But screw it, I'm excited about what the future holds for this team and if they can manage to find a few guys that can hit the open shot consistently (Novak work on your defense PLEASE) they're gonna be hard to beat. Hell they'll be hard to beat even if they don't bring in anybody new.

I'm still thrown by the fact that the media talking heads, even people on this board, seem to forget that the Rockets did so much WITHOUT Yao.

    Unbelievable.

The espn idiots said tonight, "Can the Rockets be like the Hawks and force a game seven?"

What? Like the Hawks... who were at home with a full squad?

No team... NOT ONE... could hang with a loaded Jazz team as the Rockets just did...

    Oh the "what ifs!"

    Sigh...

Another fun year, I can't believe it went by so fast. I remember the beginning of the year when greetings were taking place. Another long off season.
