LOL, I just tried to jack a car as it started moving. Unlike past GTA's where the driver would stop and you would steak the car, in GTA IV the driver doesn't stop. You grab the handle and hang on while the car drags you for about 50 before you fall off.

When I first started playing I went to the diner around the corner to see what was in there. There was a bloke mouthing off at me....and all of a sudden I had to people punching the crap out of me and I had to run out of them. Later on once I'd played more I came back and settled things.

i've been playing this game for about 4 hours now, no freezes on the 360... got a question, is there a way to see the street names on the mini map or on the map in the pause menu? i think every street has a name right...it'd be easier for me to remember locations that way... anyways, this game is bad ass, haven't tried online yet but wouldn't mind getting together on a game... i'm not a great player though.
Sorry guys this is a bit off topic - but i'm not sure where to search for previous threads. Otherwise i would've posted it in one of the previous Xbox 360 threads... My Xbox got the 'ring of death' the other week. So i've got it back. But every single time i switch it on it doesn't automatically doesn't sign me in to games like it used to.. I have to manually select my account to sign in. And in NBA Live 08 I have to select my account, select it as the lead account, than only can i load a game. It doesn't sound like much but every time i play it gets highly frustrating.. Do any of you guys know anything that could help ? PS: all i did for 20 minutes last night on GTA IV was run over people at start fights.. Sucks when you start a fight with one and a couple start going at you. Hopefully i'll master the driving soon..
Hit the X in the middle of the controller while signed-in, then go to personal settings. There should be a setting that says Automatically sign into Xbox Live and Messenger. Just enable the Xbox Live one, and you should be good to go.
Got the game last night, and while I'm not 100% used to the controls yet, it's really fun and I can obviously see the nearly endless potential. The highlight of my first go at the game was this... I was supposed to be driving Roman somewhere but decided to screw around instead. I had the camera angle a little too low and couldn't really see where I was going, and I ended up driving off of a ledge. As I was falling, I jumped out of the car just as it went head first into the roof of a building. My body ended up slamming into a newspaper dispenser on street level, but I was still alive...until the car came bouncing off the roof and landed right on my back. Ironically, it landed right side up and Roman emerged from the car perfectly healthy

Ive done the drunk driving, its very funny. Ended up slamming into the side of the highway and me and the girl landed on the train tracks. I eventually got down but she stayed up there. So I found a way to get back up on the highway and just as I jump off to get on the tracks her....along comes a train. It hit her and then me before I';d even reached the ground and sent me flying.....what a game! One problem Ive had, and maybe XB Live people can help me with this. I have my main profile on my XBox I have been playing my games on. However when I signed up for XB Live I accidently did it with a new profile. So now I have two profiles. One I have for my games....and one that I dont use that just for XBox live. I called XB Live and told them to cancel my Live account but I'm sure you all know how painful it is to call them. They just didnt understand what I wanted them to do......to just delete the account. Any ideas on what I should do? I don't want two profiles!
Well you're in a weird situation. I did something similar a while back. My Xbox360 gamertag was A00man and I wanted to change it to Rocket786. It costs 10 dollars to change your gamertag, but I said whatever and went ahead and changed it anyways. Problem is that I put Rockel786 with a L instead of a T (in my defense they look really freakin similar with the font that's displayed on the Xbox menu). So I didn't want to spend 10 dollars more to change it back to a T, and so I called them. At first this stupid lady picked up that told me i need to pay 10 dollars again, and when I asked to speak to her manager, she hung up on me! I called back and complained about that lady, and they gave me a 10 dollar refund so I could go and change it to the proper name. I think you may need to do something similar and ask them if you can change your gamertag name to your original profile name... Good luck man! You're going to need it.
Spoiler I beat that last night. Had to leave a car by the Bobcat and head straight towards the Pay-n-Spray. Didnt take the GPS route and just went got on a Straight street and outran them. The worst part was finding out my booty call Maichelle was undercover!!!!
