The fact that people are drooling over Patrick O'Bryant only further emphasizes my point that the centers in this year's free agent class are crap. Add to that a draft that's unusually stocked with capable 7-footers and I think it becomes pretty obvious what direction we should go on draft day.

Hibbert is not declaring for the draft this year. He is staying at G'town for his SR year.

Wow, so he will be a year slower by the time he gets to the NBA. I wonder if he'll be able to run down the court within a 48-minute window of time?

We can also draft Joe Alexander-if he is even available at 25.

This is a cleverly disguised "Sign V-Span" post.

Uh, you must be digging up headlines from exactly this time last year because this past year was his senior year and final year of elibility.

The nba mock draft has him going to the Jazz, he looks like Jerry Sloan type player.

I was just reading about him and watched some clips. He looks like he has a nice mid range game, has good size for a two guard and is smart. Not a bad option if he is there at #25.

If he goes to the Jazz, that they will only make me hate the Jazz all the more.
But seriously, were those dunks sick or what? Man I can't wait to see him and Chase Budinger "surprise" people in the NBA.

Personally I'm rather skeptical of Chase Budinger still.

I know he's a great talent, but I think he could just as well end up being a mediocre swingman as he is likely to be productive.

People rave about his touch and athleticism in getting to the hole, and while his shooting touch is certainly there, I don't think his athleticism is all that's made out to be. Compared to the NBA types, he seems just about 2nd tier in terms of athleticism to me.

Actually I think a safe comparison to him would be Bostjan Nachbar. If he can end up producing at Boki's level with the NJ Nets, then Budinger would have made it imo.

Thats because he is never aggressive enough. However, once he gets on the run in transition that is where he shows his true athleticism.....and he's really soft so that makes him appear less athletic than he truly is. Trust me, I've seen almost every Arizona game, but unfortanately, Kevin O' Neil mis-used Budinger. But the "hops" that everyone raves about is genuine, plus he's fast in the open court. His lateral quickness is pretty decent though, but I think its better than everyone gives him credit for. This is the only thing that notches his athleticism just below "freakish," but its still damn good-trust me.

Chase Budinger IS an athletic freak. Don't know what kind of brain he's got. But he's an athletic freak. Youtube some Chase Budinger video. I remember that kid a couple years ago in the high school dunk contest. I think Gerald won it, maybe Durant, but Chase should have won it. Not to mention check out his volleyball video highlights. He is a big time athlete.

All the same, I think Brandon Rush will have a better NBA career.

I think Chase Budinger will fit in well with the Rockets. He has height and crazy athletiscim at the SG or SF postion At best, he wil be a Ray Allen or Grant Hill type player. He suppose to go mid 1st round. IMO, he will have a better career then brandon rush.

I also would love to see the Rockets take Russell Westbrook fro Ucla. He is a big point guard at 6-4 190lb. At best he will be a monta ellis type player. At worst I see him as a rajon rondo type player. Here is his scouting report- http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/profiles/russellwestbrook.html He is a early-mid 1st round.

I wish the Rokcets can move up somehow.

I actually don't want Westbrook. First of all, he's projected to go in the top 10 so thats out of the question. Second of all, he's not really a true point guard, as he lacks the ball-handling abilities-he only has "decent" handles, which sometimes gets shaky.

I think Budinger/Rush/Alexander will be an awesome choice for us.

Why does everyone here want alexander? He may be a good player, but I don't think he will fit well with our offense.

Simply put, we had a better record than Utah, in the regular season.
