It doesn't matter who the refs are in Utah. The crowd calls the game for them. :p

Another guy to avoid is Salvatore. He makes terrible calls at times. I think he is influenced by the home crowd.

I like Javie, Delany, and Crawford. Javie is great because he doesnt give a crap about the home crowd and calls it the way he sees it.

Just watch the Vegas line on the game... and you'll know.

    Exactly.
But somehow I have a hunch the mobs have ways of finding out where we don't.

I'd prefer the selection to be out in the open so we all have a fair shake at jeering. Might help to make them more accountable ;)

When the Donaghy mess came out, before they announced who, I just new it was Salvatore. I've never seen a worse ref at any level than that man.

That's correct ... he seems to have a bit of a chip on his shoulder, though. He refs with an attitude and if someone pisses him off early, he's in for a rough night. I always hope it's a member of the other team. There's about a 30/70 chance that he'll influence the game with a call or two. He's helped the Rockets win games before, and has even been pissed at practically the whole team and helped them lose one.

He also looks like an older Ajax (aka James Remar) from The Warriors.

I wouldn't mind the crew we had yesterday, but of course that won't happen. Dick Bavetta is really good too. Please no Violet Palmer, Ken Mauer, Tony Brothers, or Joey Crawford.

There's no way they're going to give us the same crew two games in a row. It's the truth!

Yup. It almost felt like the NBA had to make up for all the terrible calls in the first 4 games in game 5. But now that they done it, it'll be back to the usual nonsense.... It is hard to beat 8 on the floor.

Replace any other official with Delaney for game 3 and the Rockets don't win. He was that big for us. He is the only official who did not allow the Jazz to get away with murder in Utah. Oh they tried and thats why their sorry asses were in the penalty with 9 minutes still to go in the 4th quarter. Delaney officiated with dignity. He was as important as Carl Landry that game. Heres to hoping he's the lead official again.

Mauer. My gosh what a piece of fried cow pie. I watched some of the greatest Jazz flop calls on Youtube. I'm watching Jazz flop and whoah! who is that behind them giving them the call? It's their buddy Mr. Mauer! Maybe Jerry fishes with him. "Look Ken, look I hooked this large fat envelope. Ken, why don't you take this and I'll wait for a stinkin' fish." Hey, it doesn't have to all happen in a casino. The out of doors are as good a place to develop a relationship with cash. :D

Referee assignments are posted at approximately 9:00am ET each game day.

Man, isn't it ridiculous that NBA basketball is the only professional sports organization that actually has fans that know the referees' names and actually have preferences?!? Sad reality my friends

an we have Earl Strom for one game. He was the only one with the cojones to eject Karl Malone in Utah. Since then he was my all time favorite until he retired and died ...oops, never mind!
