Lame... Probably inhaled pure oxygen for like a day before this.

 

23 minutes. Apparently that is how the record holders do it for so long. Without the pure oxygen, he went unconscious trying to break the real deal record.

these stunts are 100% real. Proved it to me the last time he tried this. He failed to do what he set out to do, how many times do you see that happen on a one-hour special like that? If it was fake he would've done it with flying colors.

 

actually, before he tried that stunt, i mentioned to some friends that I thought it would be better for his career if he failed. he had already succeeded in all his other stunts (burying himself alive, freezing himself in a block of ice, standing on that tall pillar, going hungry in a cage) so it was getting the point where the suspense is diminishing because he ALWAYS succeeds. now that he's failed, it adds more suspense to future stunt attempts

 

That's even more hardcore than holding your breath because of oxygen toxicity.

 

David Blaine is my hero. I have enjoyed all his stunts and his street magic over the years.
