If we do this, we win the game. I'm certain of it. Smart intense basketball and honestly, this series is over.

Utah will come out swinging for sure, but this team has found it's confidence. You could see it grow this series, from the first game to the last. Yesterday we saw us do a few things I haven't seen:

    Pass the rock mentality.
    Work for a good shot.
    Get everyone involved
Don't make t-mac work too hard
    Monstrous D-fense.

The key for us is this, to maintain that level of play even when we go through our shooting droughts. We have a tendency to resort to one-on-one play when we get down - it's our panic button of each guy trying to carry the load on their shoulders.

But it's a recipe for disaster. Utah may jump out and hit it's first 8 or 9 shots and build a quick lead. Sometimes that happens. But we have to maintain composure and trust the defensive and offensive game plane. They will tire and succumb if we do that.

Attack the basket with a vengence. Rebound hard. Move the ball. Think penetration and dishing. Think killer D. We're the better team at this stage.

Nobody has to be the hero for us to win this game, just everyone playing their game within themselves.

The key is offense or FG%.

15, 16 point quarter won't win you much games unless your opponent did 15, 16 a quarter too.

Too many sub 20 point 3rd and 4th quarters for the Rockets.

The Rockets have been playing such great D that they only need a little more offense to win.

I agree. Pass the ball and be patient. The motion offense rewards smart play. Everyone knows that the Jazz are dumb as rocks and easily confused by movement. Kirilenko might be pretty good at guarding somebody one on one but move the ball enough and he'll wear himself out like a dog chasing a frisbee during a game of keep away.

It's easier said than done. What absolutely cannot have is in the 2nd quarter we find ourselves down by double digits.

Battier, Rafer, Bjax, these guys are vets that showed they can do well in pressured situation. Tmac is unknown. He could either get into a shooting slump or explode under the pressure. Guys like Luther, and to some extent Scola needs to be monitored closely.

no, i am saying we have to take smart shots. we can't control whether they fall or not. and it's more then play hard, it's about matching and exceeding the effort the Jazz are putting forth.

By the way, for game 3, I said it would hinge on Carl Landry, for game 5, I said it was Rafer and Bobby Jackson....and now, it's about keeping up what these guys have done (they can't slack) and the overall team chemistry of game 5 - pushing that through into the rest of the series and not having a set-back.

Game 6 is the series in my opinion. The jazz are going to fight like mad dogs to avoid going back to Utah. They are going to come out on a mission to take it too us. We have to be more then prepared. We have to play with an anger, swaggar, and passion that's even at a higher level then game 5.

The danger of game 5 is that guys get complacent. The way we played in the second half won't be good enough to win. Why? Because the Jazz had packed it in. They had given up. So it was easy.

So if we come out thinking playing like we did in the second half of game 5 is going to be good enough - we're in big trouble.

No secret in this game. Rockets know what the Jazz are gonna do and the Jazz know what the Rockets are gonna do. The deal breaker is for the Rockets to make their shots.

How hard is it to win 3 games in a row when you won 22? Let's Go Rockets!

The Rox to need to avoid this and get off to a fast start themselves. Take the Utah crowd out of the game and make them a non-factor for the game. Rox must have the lead at half time to win this game.

I think if we make 80% of our free throws, we win. Unfortunately... :(

If there is a good time to explode for 40, this is it. And then carry over to game 7 :D
