wouldn't mind seeing him dress and come out for warm-ups, if for no other reason than to make jerry sloan poop his old man pants

Imao, I'm serious when I say Yao should go out there just for the sole purpose of inflicting massive amount of pain on Kirilenko or Boozer (or Williams). Its a shame that Mutumbo hasn't been able to do that.

Mutombo was swinging his elbows around quite a lot last game. I think it really did have an effect even though he didn't land one. It seemed like the Jazz gave up on a lot more rebounds than they usually do.

Yeah ,, he need to be careful as he is 7' 6 but then I was thinking can he come in just to make team FT since or FT is so bad. It's definitely no risk just to make FT especially at crucial moment let say in the last min when we are down by 1 or 2 or we need 1 or 2 to win the game.

that rule has changed. now you can change your roster any time. and they can play me if they want, since i was technically a f/a before march 1.

I don't think a boot would make him any more slow footed. stick him in I say. :D maybe he can squash a few jazzholes while he's in.

Is it possible that Yao Ming could come back this season?

How long was he supposed to be out? How many weeks/months?

It's not worth it. We got enough bodies on the court playing with injuries and risking our future...I definately don't want Yao out there fresh off surgery...Simply put it's not worth it. We can win without him.

even if he has, why the hell would you risk his CAREER for 10 to 15 minutes off the bench?

Not maybe. It IS CRAZY !!

Even if his heart is willing, his flesh is not ready.

Don't get disillusioned and fooled by all the photos of his shootout practices or working in the gym. Even if he is now off the crutches, there is still 7 ~ 10 days before he can walk normally, not to mention he can run.

Now he has yet to be able to apply full force to his left foot. According to the latest reports of his rehabilitation

    http://sports.sina.com.cn/k/2008-04-30/08243632146.shtml

he is now working out on an anti-gravity jogging machine, where he is applying 60% of his body weight onto his left foot.

Imagine sending him onto the court 10 ~ 15 minutes when he could not walk normally, could not run, could not jump, does not have the condition and stamina......you are actually chopping off your own hand, and play 4 against 5, and you are asking the Rockets to surrender the series to the rough and physical Utah Jazz.

I'm sure he is willing to play if his body allows him. But as of now, he can't.

I am not a doctor or anything, but during last night's game on the NBATV broadcast, they should a clip of Yao in the lockerroom laying down on a table before the game and he was wearing that special boot thing so I am guessing he might not be ready. Or it could just be precautionary.
