Kwame for Gasol would win the trade of the decade. The trade blew up 3 perennial playoff teams (Suns, Mavs, Nuggets) in 3 months, 2 coaches fired, the other doubtful. And build one contender.
The worst part it isn't a trade you look back on saying that was a bad trade. You knew it was a terrible trade at the start. I mean kwame brown and two low 1st rounders?
when the rockets traded away half the team for drexler, ppl were screaming bloody murder and we won the suns traded away their team for shaq and lost the mavs traded away their team for kidd and lost the spurs got kurt for cheap, cheated to keep berry and they will win the championship Keep it in Texas at least
Dont forget Jarvis Crittenton (projected high potential) and Marc Gasol who is tearing up europe and "supposedly" has a higher upside than Pau.
What are you talking about? We traded 2 guys for Drexler. THe Suns traded 2 guys for Shaq. THe Mavs and Nets traded the same number of people.
Wait, I thought the only reason the Lakers sucked was because Kobe didn't trust his teammates since he's a "ballhog". What did the Raptors get for Vince Carter? Nothing There have been a bunch of "one sided trades"(if you think about it Memphis got what they wanted) but since the Lakers get it everyone ****s their pants. get over it.
How can the Lakers have the biggest trade of the decade when they haven't won anything yet? Those other teams affected wouldn't have won a championship anyhow. If anything, the Shaq trade to the Heat was bigger bc he actually won a ring. That's the standard we're working with isn't it? That's what'll show which trades mattered in the record books.
i thought this thread was going to be about how the wizards fleeced the lakers and got caron butler for kwame brown.
And it brought all the Lakers' monkey fans jumping in and out of the backyard of the 29 other teams' forums, trolling around!
