i think this win pissed off the mavericks so much (they know we're going to advance) that avery johnson was fired...
ever since that loss to boston after the win streak...we saw the team that couldn't get it done up until yesterday.. thank you rick for giving them that motivational message...
There was a visible difference in his aggressiveness though, he was actually calling for the ball against Boozer in the post, I have never seen Scola do that before. Moreover he made his move before the defense coulod key in and double aloowing him to actually go one on one with Boozer and it worked. Partly those are Adleman's adjustments, but he took it to them this game for sure.
The Rockets won 7 of the last eight quarters they played. Q2 of game 4 was the exception. The Rockets are rolling and their defense is stepping up, so logically they win! Can't wait for game 7 at the Toyota center
We definitely looked like the rockets from the 22 winning streak...we scored tons of points off great defense. Fast break points off defense is the key to blowing them out
I disagree. Luther...while he didn't hit his shots...did more than you might think last night. He played great defensively. Secondly he was consistently attacking the rim. He had a sharp crossover that froze the defender enough to drive to the basket. While he missed some layups...it caused the Utah defense to sag off the guys on the perimeter by collapsing inside. That loosens up the defense people. I appreciated the effort Luther.
I actually also think that Luther is another guy that can attach the rim. But he gotta make his shots when he is open. I am sure his confidence is at all time low right now. He needs to pick it up.
I was SOOO excited with last night's game and outcome - although I did miss the last 2+ minutes of actual gameplay due to a DVR/TV snafu... but I am, and was, so thrilled and proud! I'm glad to have NBA TV on this temporary basis! I feel it - Go, ROCKETS! BattiersBaby.
