Anyone else see the NBA TV news conference with Boozer and Deron sitting together? Help me out with the quote. I can't find it, but he was definitely talking about upping the tempo vs us wanting to get into a half court game
I'm not sure if Deron's quote is a Utah strategy coming from Sloan to not let us dictate the tempo to a slow down game, because they think we are better at halfcourt than them. Or if he's stressing their need to get back to their 106ppg selves but openning up the game.

But Adelman clearly wants to get our motion going, with our halfcourt quickness from our bigs cutting and moving. He seems to believe it can beat Sloan. And our defense is most definitely preventing them from getting anywhere close to the 106ppg regular season average.

request: in previous years transcripts of these post game interviews were posting at nba.com. I can't find them this year. Anyone know? Anyone. Anyone. Bueller?

It's been hard not to notice us relying on T-Mac making plays for mostly stationary teammates. He does a great job of creating for others, but they would do themselves a favor by taking some of that load off Mac and moving more. Meet him half way.

It's easy for me to say when they're obviously playing A-level defense and expending the energy it requires. Still... we do appear to be a little stagnant moving the ball. Are the Jazz just clogging up all the passing lanes? If so, good on them. We should be doing the same thing since they get so many easy baskets throwing the ball around.

you can find the post game conference of Sloan, Adelman, T-Mac and D-Will in nba.com videos.

Also, on Jazz homepage of nba.com. there is a brief summary of after-game quotes.

Sloan and D-Will mostly talking about how the Rockets' defense forced them out of the paint and into some quick jump shots.

For some reason we make other teams play at our halfcourt pace. the only exception was phoenix who would run us out of the building. the Jazz have the ability to run but for some reason they start playing at our slow pace. part of that has to do with Deron not running the floor.

thx, forgot about the vids.

Do the Rockets not offer the summary of the transcripts anymore? Couldn't find them during the regular season.

my paraphrasing was pretty accurate. Deron says the up the tempo part at the end of the interview...pretty much like the opening quote of mine. He mentions the 106ppg part in the middle. Your quote comes in the middle, too.
